Oddly enough it reminds me of my own country. =] At first glance it reminded me of the Philippines.
Very nice Richie.

Yeah, I'm thrilled! D:
Why did you go to Vietnam? Was it just a vacation?

Yeah, vacation and visiting family. I learned a few days ago some of the family I met (for the very first time) will be moving from Vietnam to live with us in a few years. I'm very excite. :]

I suppose, if you like sitting around bored all the time. XD There is nothing to do.
I live in Michigan now, though.
Do you still live in California?

When I was in Vietnam, we stayed in a busy city for a couple of days. It was quite the experience, but you do have the sort of scary feeling where people are unfriendly. Although, I think in reality, people in the city are no different than anywhere else.
Haha. I haven't been to any of the states around New Mexico, but I'd have to say New Mexico is somewhat boring. Even so, I love living here.

Were a lot of people unfriendly there?

I wouldn't say unfriendly. There isn't a lot to do besides work and school over there. So when someone from the Americas comes to town, they sometimes get overly excited.
Of course, there's those who are like "Oh look, it's an American. >_>;;" sort of thing.

Ah, I see what you're talking about. It fascinates me, too, how others view Americans. It's try that a lot of the commercial things in America are somewhat pointless. And it would make sense that other foreigners don't hate us. There's a lot of different people here, some who are really mean and others who are completely lovable. Just like in other countries, there'll be people who hate us but others who don't mind as much.

I was very naive when I was young.
(I still am... but about different things.)
It amazed me how people speak differently, live different lives, look completely different, but still have that same line of human in them. That people from, say, middle-class America and people who are living in third world countries can have the same emotions, the same joys.
It made me very happy to realize that beneath all of the outer alliances to countries, politics, religion... everyone is just human, with the same emotions.
(I missed having you around, I really enjoy talking with you. )

Ah, I know exactly what you're talking about. I, too, have thought of the same things. I remember in school when people would always make fun of people from, like, Israel, but in the end, they're exactly like us, despite their looks and religions. And I realized it about myself, too. A lot of people call me smart, and I try to think of myself as different, but in the end, I get mad at times and smile in the happy moments.
I think our life goals are really what set us apart. Those without a life goal are usually more carefree and their discipline is very weak.
Haha, thank you. It's been awhile since I've talked like this, so I thank you for this conversation, as well.

I like how you phrased that, that their discipline is weak. It reminds me of old samurai movies.
And it reminds me of my friend Leah. We are very similar in lots of ways, when I met her I was shocked at how similar we are. It's uncanny, actually.
But I have a plan for my future, and she does not. And so, even though we are very similar, and get along fantastically, she frustrates me, because she is very lazy and just floats about, not caring where her life is going. I hate to see people do that.
I also don't usually talk like this. I have one person that I can talk to, but he's 52, so there is this generation gap that is sometimes hard to span. So, thanks!

Haha, I've always looked at a person's level of discipline. You might notice how people always think of Asians as smart. That's usually because they were beat when they were kids. That's how their parents taught discipline. But nowadays, parents spoil their children, and it results in them growing up with a very rebellious attitude. However, that may not always be the case, but it is for many.
Some people don't have a plan and are lazy, like how you say your friend is. Sometimes it just takes one important event in their life to turn it all around. Though, sometimes it doesn't always happen for a person, and their lives go no where for a long time.
Ah, I have the same problem, but it doesn't really bother me. I've spoken with many older than I, and they've told me in the past that I have great insight for my age. It's the result of having a lot of extra time, and nothing to do with it, so I just thought about things to try and find the answers behind them.
I'm grateful, too, for having a friend such as you. Friends with great insight are the ones that'll help you in the future.
