Whee~! I've entered into the contest for Nightschool Vol. 3!
ETA: And now, I am one of the winners! Whoot!Yeah, I'm not good with deadlines, even if they're 2-4 weeks from the day I find out. So, I really wanted this picture to be more organized and look better and whatnot but then I says to me-self, "Hey! Art ain't perfect. Never has been, never will be. You're doing this for free, it's about Nightschool, just let it go." So, then, I decided to leave as is and see what happens from there.
So, about the actual picture! Mostly of favorite characters, exception is that nameless(?) goth/punk girl. My favorite characters so far Ten and... "Teacher?" I don't think he has a name yet, and I have no way of checking besides looking through the books. So, for now, I'm calling him "Teach." Anyway, they are my favorites, especially Teach. And what little I've seen of them interacting, it's very familial. Like an uncle and his niece. Also, I happen to really love Mar's budding crush on Cassidy. She's so adorable with her blushing face and shy smile! Ah, I wish I could give her a hug! Lastly but definitely not least, is of Teresa giving that useless lump of human a good slap in the face. Seriously, I wish Teresa took her hand to that girl's face, what with the lip she was getting.
Anyway! That's pretty much all I can say (except for now everyone will know my real name, le gasp!), and I hope I didn't offend Ms. Chmakova for how I drew her characters! ... I wonder if it's okay that I didn't give credit to Ms. Chmakova on the actual picture? I mean, if I sent it in to the legal people judging the contest and whatnot, they know I'm not trying to take credit. Augh! D: Sit back and watch what happens, I guess?

So it's almost like 3 mini comic sort of things. XD I'm still a little uncertain about the bubble, though. I wonder if I should have put it more to the side rather than smacking it right in the middle of the paper. Though, in my defense, I had wanted to draw it with Mar and Cassidy being almost fully figured like Ten and Daemon, but I realized that Mar and Cassidy were not exactly proportioned to Ten and Daemon, so I just put them in a photo border. And that's where my uncertainty about the organization came about.
You mean try to mimick her style of just draw more fanart of her stories? And I'm not too sure if I get what you mean by Ms. Chmakova and I "complimenting each other"... XD

And I would say so. Jaq, so far, has been doing nonstop surveillance on J. They most likely are more than just coworkers in the same field. Though, I'm not sure if they get paid for being Hunters or not.

Yeah, and since I've only seen the first volume, I noticed that Jaq was always around J after he was in his comatose state. They also look and dress pretty similar, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were related family-wise.

True, but you can't say that she wasn't tempted since she said that there were loopholes she could go through. And I was cheering for her to go through those loopholes, by god. XD
I can't wait to see more information on their relationship. Be it family or something completely different. I'd also like to know if there's a similarity between Jaq and the red-haired girl who is on the student council with Ronee, since they both have their hair covering their eyes and their eyes show no pupils and shine like everyone else's. My answer is probably sitting right under my nose, though.

I know I'd like a little more background on the red-haired girl. She seems very interesting. In fact, I could say that for all of the characters in Nightschool. XD
I see. I could help if you like. I might not be the best at summarizing or anything, though. And you should definitely get your hands on the 2nd volume as soon as you can. Very awesome. It also shows the winners from the last contest. Also, it tells of a very interesting story Ms. Chmakova had while she was working on volume two (I think). :3

Yeah, I think Ms. Chmakova should expand more on the characters. Some negatives I saw in reviews were that there were too many characters and that they were pretty shallow.

Well, the story is only on its 2nd volume, so there should be some time for exposition on the characters. I will say that there are quite a few characters, maybe one too many to keep track of, but hopefully Ms. Chmakova can keep a good pace and track on the characters.

yeah, and on her DeviantArt account poll, lots of people selected the 8-13 choice, so probably her series will continue for around that time.

Mm-hm. In that number of volumes, there's plenty of time to reveal information about the characters. Of course, in order for the story to go well, you can't do an info dump throughout the series. So, we just have to wait for the next volume to see what more we can learn about everyone in it.
