omg...i am finally done >_> its 2:40am right now...Yu-gay-oh bookmark set for AX 08 :] I miiight make some prints (like pic above) of this too, for people who don't...buy bookmarks :I
i had fun with atem (sorta) and bakura (of course), the rest i wanted to stab. jounouchi is my least fav, not cuz i dont like him, but i barely draw him :/ it looks like he has bannanas for hair.
i dont think there has been any series so far that have overtaken my love for this series for a long period of time!! haha ygo always comes back to me.
btw this is probably my most colorful deviation in my gallery........

I know this is really old, but I just found it and had to comment!! I love it so. I LOVE LOVE all of them, Kaiba, Atem and Bakura are definitely the best, though I love Marik and Jounouchi too!

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!!
I'm going to do this in chunks lol
in short:
duelist kingdom - kaiba beats yugi's grandpa, taking his blue eyes white dragon card. yugi then beats him as payback. because kaiba, the previously undefeated champion of japan, was defeated, the stock in his company, kiaba corporation, falls dramatically as the population loses confidence in him. The big five (members of the board of kaiba corp) ask pegasus, the inventor of duel monsters and head of Industrial Illusions, to defeat yugi in exchange for allowing pegasus to take ove kaiba corp. This will mean that the leader of the company will then again be the top duelist, boosting share price again. Pegasus agrees. however, he has an alternate motivation. He knows that yugi has the millenium puzzle, an ancient egyptian artifact that contains the soul of a 3000 year old spirit. This spirit shares yugi's body, alternating with him. They are friends. Pegasus also has a millenium item, the millenium eye. He can see into other people's minds and take their souls. To force yugi to duel with him, he kidnaps his grandpa's soul and hosts a tournament on an island. yugi and his friends, tea, tristan, and joey go to "duelist kingdom" as it is termed. they meet a woman named mai valentine there, and befriend her. yugi eventually beats pegasus, and joey takes second place. Pegasus had also taken kaiba and his brother's souls. when yugi wins, he frees all three souls and wins the prize money, which he gives to joey so that he can pay for an eye operation for his sister, who is going blind (the reason joey was in the tournament to begin with)
in duelist kingdom, they also hang out with bakura, a classmate who has a millenium ring that he wears around his neck. this ring also contains a spirit, but bakura does not know about it, and the spirit is evil. this is important later.
virtual world arc - the big five force kaiba to test a virtual game. he gets trapped in the game. yugi, joey, and mokuba (kaiba's brother) go into the game to save him. they meet mai, who was testing the game too. they end up rescuing the whole land in the game and defeating the big five, trapping them in the virtual world. they rescue kaiba.
