Description
Note; I used characters who first appeared in fighting games, not crossovers or game adaptions
10. Vice (King of Fighters) - Dear God I love this woman. KOF always felt the most impactful fighting game to me where every single hit actually looked more painful than other series. Between Shermie and Vice, this grappler wins for her seductive yet tomboyish painful nature. That and she became my main in Capcom vs SNK 2.
9. Morrigan Aensland (Darkstalkers) - Morrigan is likely the best known DS character ever. Known for being more an anti-hero and one of the strongest characters in the Capcom library is one reason. I can say if not for her, Darkstalkers would still be heavily unknown.
8. Mileena (Mortal Kombat) - Easily my favorite MK character. While everyone knows of her vicious underbite; I prefer her over Kitana anyday. Her and Sheeva are always my top fits for the best characters and even then, she introduced me to sais and femme fatale.
7. Tira (Soul Series) - Ohh Tira. Easily with one of the most innovative style and most original weapon style I've ever seen in a game; Tira's bipolar nature and haunting Sophita; Tira is one of my favorite psychopaths and villains voice and all.
6. Bang Shishigami (BlazBlue) - The MANLIEST NINJA EVER. A parody of Shonen heroes; Bang keeps the series from being too sad and depressing while contributing to the plot itself by the second and third game. Plus I love messing with my friend by forcing my way to unlocking Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan just to tick him off.
5. Makoto (Street Fighter) - I can easily pit every female (and Poison) character from the Street Fighter franchise here. However, if I had to pick; it'd have to be this martial arts expert for having a relatively simple backstory but being considered good enough to rival Fei Long and Ryu... by Third Strike.
4. Asuka Kazama (Tekken) - Now heres someone I love to see. Asuka's ability has been labeled "high risk-high reward" and it shows. Having some of my favorite hard hitting attacks, rivalry with my former most hated Tekken character, and made my favorite female character in the franchise alongside Anna Williams.
3. Talim (Soul Series) - Talim was my introduction to the Philippines. Ironically, the most mature character and has a style that seemed innovative for the series. Now if only SCVI would be made if they'd stop arguing over Ivy's breast size.
2. Hwoarang (Tekken) - Always my favorite character in the Tekken franchise. Hwoarang's style of tae kwon do was always fun to use and his backstory was always a good read to me. That and made me realize that Namco actually knows that Korea exists.
1. Hsien-ko (Darkstalkers) - Needs no introduction.
