My proxies have sent reports back to the Observatory regarding an anomaly we've been observing for the past several cycles. Looking at these new reports personally, I'm beginning to have my doubts about how things are unfolding.

To briefly explain: Anomalous activity was detected on the edges of my Observatory's allotted domain, causing a serious disruption around various worlds, timelines, and the lanes between. We've since isolated the origin of this anomaly and the affected worlds for quarantine, study, and possible enactment of containment and stasis protocols. Our onboard analysts have gone over the data collected thus far and they believe this anomaly is but a short-lived fluke; likely something that emerged on the whims of the omniverse and likely will not have the potential necessary to persist existing beyond being a mere anomaly. Whatever damage this anomaly may do until it fizzles out, they tell me, will be easily mendable as per protocols.

I will admit here that my internal instinct says that the possibility of the anomaly persisting beyond our analysts' calculations and evolving into a universe of its own is too likely to be ignored... and when it does, it will come at the cost of the worlds this anomaly has affected. I should call the order to start evacuation protocols for these affected universal timelines, just in case my hunch proves correct and we have not yet taken the actions necessary to contain and pacify the anomaly's source.

Until all is certain, I can only pray that the analysts are right and this is just a mild storm that will wither away in due time.

This was a request made by GirlOfFlamingFury back toward the end of October. Whoops! Sorry it took so long. Things weren't clicking for a while and only just now did things finally fall into place. Also, I didn't know whether or not I was to 'Steampunkify' the canon Dark and Anti or maskman626 's take on the characters... so I played it safe and did the canon duo instead. If both Girl and Mask are cool with it, I might 'steampunkify' Mask's Dark and Anti one day and see what comes of it. :3

Anyways, challenges aside, I learned me a few more tricks from this one, so thank you for the prompt!
