Description
Like I said, I had to update a lot of the character designs for the new rendition of the comic. Joshua was the one I had the most fun with… probably because people are not used to the "famous Nazarene" wearing modern attire and holsters with guns in them!
As for the " Akiane Jesus " in the background, that's a gag or broad contrast between myself and the artist. That doesn't mean I agree with the testimony.

Personality:
Joshua is an empathetic individual; in fact so empathetic that his personal agenda/necessities are the last priority on his mind. Though he does have "off" moments of being clueless and dense to foreign situations, he listens intently to anyone who sees him as a friend or someone closer. In a way, you can best describe Joshua as like a sponge or a mirror to others around him despite if it may affect him constructively or negatively. He's simply a curious soul with a lot of fight behind the flamboyant/smooth persona.
History:
Not much is known of Joshua other than he is centuries old and still looks as though a day hasn't passed since 27 A.D. Along with that, what is quite unhelpful is that he only remembers a few moments of his previous life which gives no lead of where he came from and how he can return home if possible. This leaves one to assume that either he wishes not to remember, or he's simply a man who is wandering around with the worst case of amnesia, but underneath the surface that inconvenient setback is just the tip of the iceberg.
Well, to make a long story short, Joshua is an exiled convict with a record that would dwarf all the the worst faces you can imagine right now in your mind. Yes! You read that right. Even worse than Bundy and Hitler. The burden may seem hellish and impossible to deal with to anyone who befriends him, however Joshua doesn't make his banishment the main issue of his existence. Like stated previously, he only cares about those around him are tended to and if - by any off chance - he could help. Some cases are mundane and easy, and others prove to be a tedious rabbit hole. This is were Joshua, knowing every small and decrepit place a person could go, volunteers to do the "deeper and dirtier" level of investigating for the sake of getting people out of those sticky situations. Of course, knowing he cannot do this alone, Joshua over the years has adopted the habit of looking for people in each generation to help him - to teach him.
As time rolled on, Joshua has gained a resumé from working with people of different backgrounds, but has made his home alongside a small Bedouin tribe in the Middle East. This is where he meets Selma… and this is where begins working more alongside the Shinayim. There is a bit of a tale as to how and why Selma agreed to take Josh as her spouse, but that is a different story.
As of right now, Joshua is still recuperating from the amnesia. The scars on his body reassure what era it is, but not so much on wether he totally out of the woods yet. He knows exactly what he has to do, he knows what role he plays now, but does he know how much he means to others and does he ever stop to remind others what they mean to him? Maybe not… but lets say he gets that chance again… would he slow down to talk to someone for that moment?
