Despite what Keegan had been through, when he looked up at him with those big eyes, all Sachiel could see was innocence. Pure of heart, and that was more than he could say for anyone else.

He simply lay on his bed, staring up at the ceiling in his bedroom. A thin layer of dust had settled on every surface and he left fingerprints as he went. He'd been away for so long that he'd actually began to miss Hollow Bastion.
He was exhausted, mentally and physically. He ached all over, inside and out. Hurt to breathe, hurt to think. It was one of the first times he was glad he didn't have a heart thumping away in his chest, sure that that would hurt, too.
Eyes closed, he breathed out slowly. He just didn't have the drive to even think about moving.
