Arya Stark (c)Character from George R. R. Martin's books A Song of Ice and FireAs I promissed, a long time ago, here's my vision of Arya Stark. I don't have so much to say about this piece, Arya is my favorite character and I am worried of not having done justice to the her. But I still think that's the way that I imagined her.
Anyway, just want to make a point; the blood dripping I added, supposed to be for everyone that she includes on her pray, actually, I think it was six, so I forgot one, and I'm too lazy to add xD

This is so powerful. You have done her great justice. You have captured her long face and her gaunt Stark-like features beautifully. The Weirwood and the blood, even the "other" Aryas put the piece together perfectly. I love it so much, and I hope you draw more!

Arya was one of those character that made me more and more anxious to read and time passed on, she became so radical. It is also what makes her fascinating though. I like how you gave her a long face as is described in the book and details such as the weir-wood leaves. yay hallmarccus artwork

Absolutely, I think she's a character with more potencial than all the others. She grew up and lerned with the life in the hard way. About what's come next, I can't help myself. The POV that I have more expectations is from Arya... ok, maybe Jon, and Dany too...

The one and only she-wolf^^ It's great how you managed to combine all the symbols of the influences on this young character in such a harmoniy picture. It could work as her banner.
Although you draw her as skinny, boyish and stark-gnarled as she is described in the book, I would have imagend her with a bit more expression on her face. She is nearly as coolly as Deanerys in your last picture. While that suited perfect for Dany, who has to keep a pokerface all along, I would think Arya is way more hot tempered, and that you would see more determination, anger or maybe sorrow on her face. Well, sorrow only mixed with thirst for revenge...

I absolutely agree with you. Arya is such an amazing and fierce character. And I really think she will achieve what he want, and also will get Winterfell back.
About the expression, if you take a look at my previous drawings, as I said before, to me all, the Starks have a sad expression on their faces. But I awill have to agree with you on this point too. I remember when I made my first sketch, she has some angry and wild expression, but when I get to the final part of thr drawing, I've losted that expression, anyway, I will remebmber your tip when I draw another Arya, thank you

Wonderful! You've drawn her with the long face described in the books, yet she's still pretty in her own way, and could be mistaken for a young guy. Really, I'd love it if you posted some tutorial explaining how do you mak these beautiful pictures ^^

Thank you so much. As I said above, I never understand how a big amount of artist almost always pictured Arya a little bit plump. I mean, the books always said she is very skinny and have a "horse face" so a wanted to show that.

About the tutorial is not very secret, I usually do the pencil drawing and the colouring process is done in photoshop. But I'll try to post some WIPs

I think it looks amazing!
I like the combination of colors, as well as the combination of themes: the Stark tree, the many faces, the coin, everything. And the blood dripping symbolism.
Also, I like that you gave Arya both male (thick, man-like eyebrows) and female (full lips) characteristics. And that you made her face looong, but you still made her look beautiful. The combination of all these elements makes a great Arya, I think.

This is awesome! There's loads of epic characters and storylines to fall in love with in ASOIAF, but I think it's fair to say that the House of Black and White and the Ugly Little Girl are two of my very favorites. It was announced recently that Mark Gatiss (League of Gentlemen, Sherlock) has been cast for season 4... it would be epic if he was playing the Kindly Man (though I'm not sure his character would actually appear as early as season 4) You've done a fantastic job with this!

I absolutely agree with you. One of the things that amazes me about Martin, is the fact that his imagination has no limits, each character has its own personality, totally unique. And of course, the House of Black and White have a lot of fantastic and misteryous residents. He would be a great choice, even if I never stopped to imagine his face. Thanks
