She had long decided that she wanted to be free of this strange labyrinth, long before the whispers started. She could not make out words, simply sounds. They make her skin crawl, her ears twitch, her chest tighten - they seemed to call to her, beckon her to the shadows. She had often wondered if, like Vergil, she had some kind of darkness buried in her soul. The whispers tried to tease it free.
