◯ He is a kind soul, and that is the first thing that many will know of him. Were he human, you would know him as the sort to hold doors open or help the elderly cross a busy road. He is considerate and empathetic, and will always consider the wellbeing of others before making a decision. His greatest strength lies in the love he has for his pack, and for all the wolves who rely on him to keep them - and their families - safe and protected, even in times of darkness and fear. He remains a final beacon of solidarity for the Tundes, many of whom hold faith that he will bring peace to the island once more. He is no fighter, is not trained for battle, and even now - with this cultural divide - he believes all wolf-life is sacred and must not be cut down. Osirus spilled blood only once, and he is loathe to ever do so again.
◯ Though he would not admit it, any astute observer could tell that Osirus is fearful of magic. Raised to have total faith in the natural world, and given a life where he could make his own choices and forge his own path, he knows very little of magic and understands less still. To him, magic has only ever been a thing of myth and legend; stories he distantly recalls being told by his mother when he was only a child. The thought that one single wolf could wield immense power over another leaves a sickly, hollow feeling in the pit of his stomach. Magic could forcibly remove the autonomy of another, take away their right to choose, control them in some way. He would not wish such a fate on his worst enemy.
◯ Brave of heart as he is, Osirus is also hesitant. He prefers a slow and methodical approach toward all tasks, knowing all too well the consequences a split-second decision can have. Above all, he desires to keep his family and his pack safe - a thing that was not difficult to achieve before the wolves of the island were split and divided. Stubborn, and at times short sighted, he is largely resistant to change and unwilling to adapt. He is comfortable in that which is familiar, and is holds steadfast to the methods of ruling that he always has. Although others may be quick to disagree, Osirus still believes that the wolves can be reunited, and that a peaceful resolution can be found. It was not so long ago that wolves who now call themselves Kol lived in harmony with those now called Tundes, and the Alpha hopes that with swift action, that balance can be returned. He does not believe the Kol truly evil. This is a disagreement of belief, of religion, and it need not end in blood.
◯ Fear, doubt, worry: these are not things that make a leader, but Osirus has these things in bounds. He hides it well, but the recent developments of the island have been difficult for him. Osirus is a leader, but a leader that had never been faced with any true adversity. His recent creation of a new, more offensive trade among the Tundes is the only sign of his concern - that should his attempts at keeping peace and returning harmony fail, there might yet be some wolves who can protect the pack from the growing danger the Kol present.
◯ The past few years have hardened Osirus a little - he has, in time, become more guarded and more suspicious, which in turn has made him even more stubborn than before. He is deeply protective of his two children, even though both are now plenty old enough to take care of themselves. The betrayal of his own brother Amuun has begun to challenge Osirus' usual ability to see the good in all things and in all wolves, and so the Tundes leader wars with his own self, hesitant to embrace the darkness and distrust his brother had planted with his crime.

◯ Two sons were born to the Alpha pair of what was - back then - the one united pack of the island. From an early age it seemed as though Amuun would be the likely successor to Khonsu's title: Osirus tending to shy away from crowds and rarely meet his father's eye. Both brothers were happy enough as youngsters. In a time of peace and prosperity that had lasted for generations, they would want for nothing. The island was their oyster, and the only danger to their lives came from the cliffsides or the violent ocean. Their bond was firm, and Osirus was a golden shadow to nearly everything that Amuun would do.
◯ When Khonsu named Osirus his successor, he took the whole pack by surprise - brothers included. Both sons protested, but their father was firm in his decision. Amuun was too brazen and wild. The Tundes, Khonsu believed, needed thoughtful, diligent and patient wolves like Osirus to lead them. To continue to keep the peace they coveted, to easily settle small disputes between packmates. He would not change his decision, and the brothers were forced to accept Khonsu's choice, but there was sown the very first seed of discontent.
◯ As is often the way in tragic stories, it was love that would divide the brothers. As a youth, Amuun had entertained a flirtation with a young she-wolf named Ibis and had persued her affection for some time. Ibis, however, held little love for Amuun - she much preferred the quieter, more careful brother to the brash and bold Amuun. He gave up the relentless pursuit eventually, but the flame he held for Ibis never did fade, and he always found his gaze drawn to her. He believed that someday, she would come to love him in return. There was no doubt in his mind that one day, Ibis would stand by his side. But... as adults, Osirus and Ibis began to grow closer, cultivating a quiet and careful romance that was well hidden.
◯ In the Summer of his sixth year, Osirus' father passed away peacefully in Omra's warm embrace. With his brother and his mother, Osirus took a last vigil beside Khonsu's body, and the following day he took his place as the new Alpha. Amuun hid his bitterness well and held his tongue, held fast by his mother's stern gaze, though he still felt that he had been more deserving of the role than Osirus was. Osirus took to leadership well, but then, ruling was never a truly difficult thing - at worst the Alpha would be needed to settle petty debates and bickering. For the most part, the wolves of the island continued to live in the peace they had spent such a long time cultivating, free from the influence of magic or humans.
◯ When Ibis became pregnant, Osirus finally announced their relationship and took her as his mate. Two puppies were born to the happy couple; one male and one female, whom they named Asar and Khepri. Asar was strong, and Khepri blind in one eye, which was of great interest to the more superstitious among them. Osirus, who did not much believe in superstiton, did all he could to shield both children from whispers and rumours, hoping that they would lead an ordinary life, free of worry.
◯ Danger was not far behind the family. Amuun had spent years now harbouring his bitterness, and to discover that Ibis had chosen Osirus and not him... it filled him with a dreadful fury. Osirus had taken everything that Amuun had believed was rightfully his. Leadership. Love. The only thing that had ever stemmed Amuun's flood was Omra, and when she too passed away in peace, Amuun was quick to bend to the will of his emotion. Early one morning, Amuun ambushed Ibis as she bathed in a shallow pool and turned the waters red with her blood. If he could not have her, then no-one could.
◯ Osirus heard the pitiful call of his mate when Amuun struck, but he was too late. When he arrived, she was already gone, and her blood stained Amuun's satisfied smile. A feeling flushed through the Alpha that he did not recognise, that he had never felt before - wrath. A terrible battle followed, and Osirus claims to not remember much of it, but when all was said and done, Amuun too lay lifeless in the shallow waters, his unseeing eyes gazing into Ibis' lifeless face.
◯ The Alpha seemed colder and more distant from then. More cautious, more suspicious. He took his final vigil by his mate's side, and would not allow anyone to take a vigil by Amuun. He became ever the patient and watchful father, rarely allowing the young Asar or Khepri to stray far from his sight, or the eyes of someone he deeply trusted. The betrayal of his own flesh and blood made Osirus begin to doubt the faith with which he always believed in others, in their kindness and their loyalty, and so he was occasionally too overprotective of his only children.
◯ It was the middle of his seventh year of life when the boat arrived on the western shores of the island. Osirus had commanded most of the pack to stay put, taking only himself and a small team of guards to observe these strange creatures from a distance - but his control over the island wolves had begun to wane. Malaysia was quick to take advantage of this sudden arrival, and she roused all those into whom she had planted her ideals, that wolves were Gods that Osirus and his family condemned to live as mortals. And so, a great many more wolves reached those shores than the Alpha had allowed, some following Malaysia to ascension, others simply filled with a burning curiousity.
◯ There was nothing Osirus could do to stop them. Crucially, he and those who yet followed him did not intervene as Malaysia and her group - who soonafter became known as Kol - rounded up the unwitting humans and feasted on their bodies high in the seclusions of Remiel. All at once, the island was severed in two. In the North, the Kol, empowered by their almighty feast and infatuated by the thought of power. In the South, what remained of the once-great island pack, now known as the Tundes. In the months that followed, Osirus felt as though the earth had opened it's mouth to swallow him. The wolves he had known all his life were suddenly filled with worry and doubt. The whispers of magic and superstition were louder than ever. It took all his strength to keep the pack together, to prevent any further divide, and now he is faced by an impossible task. To re-unite the wolves. To return to peace.
