Description 2004 - Saturday, October 30th

Ahh, Saturday. This was the big, blow-out crazy day. We were Beetlejuice and Lydia in the wedding clothes. And here we are...

I think we look darned good. Judging by the reactions we got, so did everybody else. People actually knew who I was this year! People called me Lydia! For once, Jon didn't steal my thunder! No thunder-stealing for you!

Wonderful costume. I've been wanting to go as a femal version of Beetlejuice for years, and I think this year I may do it. I'd like to ask, how did you do the make up for Beetlejuice?

You look amazing! I would dress up as Lydia, but i don't know how to get her hair cut. Can you help me with that, pretty please?

She bought two black wigs and sewed one to the tp of the other to give it height. then she cut syled and jelled it into the right shape. It took a good week to get it just right.

Awesome, just awesome. Can you provide any details on how you made the dress? I am going as Beetlejuice this year and already have all of my pieces in order for the costume, but we don't really know where to start for my wife. Also, do you have any tips on the Beetlejuice makeup? I am fairly good with makeup, I am just concerned on doing a bald cap and wig or just buying a premade Beetlejuice wig (I have shorter hair).

Thanks a lot!

I'd suggest startting with the hoopskirt. Its not that difficult and will give you a good jumping off point. As for the beetlejuice hair, I just let my hair grow, since good wigs cost way too much and regular wigs rarely look good.

You two are really inspiring. I love all of your Tim Burton costumes, and I absolutely adore your Joker and Harley costumes! It makes me wish I had put some effort into my costume for this year's Halloween. Oh, well. There's always next year, right? Great job!
