Far from an original take on the folklore-monster but designing big beasts with animal-skulls is just too much fun to pass up.

I'm currently researching a lot about native american folklore.
I concur, they are easily the most fascinating creatures from the lore. And since they represent cannibalism, well, that's inherently pretty horrifying, no matter where they appear. Though "Until Dawn" pulled that off very well.

Yeah you captured a hellspawn(ish) look yet you kept some of the tribal aspects too

Years ago, I did some Wendigo-sketches that went heavier on the tribal aspects, including dreamcatchers and feathers. I'm thinking I want to lean a little more in that direction, so I might redo the design at some later point.
