Now that's a very interesting design on Y'soth... is the bottom part of his body some big mouth, like what a parasite would latch on with or something?

Yeah, I thought he definitely needed some feature that would made him able to latch himself onto another ancient to infect them.

It definitely fits in with his magick's style for sure. Though I do wonder, how is it that he isn't utterly above all the other ancients with such an ability to infect them? >>?

Imagine how a 60kg doctor is trying to to give a 120kg MMA fighter an injection in the ring

Haha, well, I suppose that might definitely be the case.. XD Is the infection not fatal to the Ancients then? Can their magick keep the effects from being as quickly fatal as they would be on humans I guess?

In general Y'soth doesn't kill. Things that are lifeless can't be infected and thus can not be controlled and used by him. His highest priority is to gain control over things, only if something can't be controlled by him he seeks to destroy it.

He wouldn't kill an ancient by infecting him.

He would gain complete control over it (and the servants), leaving him with the option to force the infected one to kill itself. But it's unlikely he would do that, since the infection of another ancient would be an extreme gain of power for him.

By infecting even one Anceint he could begin a chain reaction and overcome all other ancients. He infects C - thus he can fight X and win, infect her too, now he can fight U and infect him too ...

So I think it's really important he is the weakest of them all, cause in theory he just needs to beat one ancient to enslave all other.

I guess the fact an Ancient would be far more powerful than it would be enough to balance out how powerful his infection is *nods* After all, balance seems to be one of the key themes concerning the Ancients... XD
