"Hmmm, this is interesting," Donnie had taken a small trip to the library to look at what history he could find, he had a mini heartattack at seeing the monsters there, but remembered Mikey mention that they are friendly, and quickly recovered, he was now sitting on Mikey's living room couch, reading on the properties of monster and mutant magic and SOUL's Leo, Miwa, and Kiyo had went for a walk around town to try and get more friendly with the monsters (Miwa was halfway in her snake form so she looked more like a Naga) Raph looked at his younger brother with a raised brow as he asked "what's interesting Don?" Donnie looked up as he answered "according to this, mutants and monsters were friends and helped eachother out, a lot with, ughh, *magic* I still find that incredibly unlikely, apparently mutants had a lot of it, infact, mutants naturally have more....power....in they're body's than even monsters, whom' s body's are mostly made of the stuff, it seems to replace the water in a humans body, and apparently, when monsters die, they turn to dust, mutants do that too, but only an hour after they're death, huh, THAT explains why we never bleed well, blood." Raph looked a little uneasy on the death part, as he attempted to change the subject "uh..w-well, does it say why the monsters are down here anyway? I mean, the story says that the monsters were crazy with like, bloodlust when the war against the humans started, but they seem really nice, I mean, Mikey lived here with them for ten YEARS apparently, is there something we're missing?" Donnie thought about it a moment before he said "that's actually a good question, and it says that a human SOUL is more powerful than any monster SOUL, but, that CAN'T be right! All the stories say monsters are more powerful and horrible creatures, but, when I got the books, they seem more nice than any human I've met on a first impression!"
Raph contemplated this for a moment, what REALLY caused the human and monster war?

Sans was quickly able to catch Mikey as his remaining eye turned its usual baby blue again and his body went limp "whoa there Mike, you okay?" Mikey gave a shakey thumbs up, but Sans knew plenty to know that nearly collapsing in a heap doesn't qualify as *cool* he looked at his HP and his eyesockets widened when he saw, Mikey's HP was down to one! He grumbled "geez shellhead" Sans was abit out of practice in his healing magic, so he decided to take him over to somewhere he'd be able to rest up while he healed him, good thing he knew a good shortcut to Mikey's place.

Sans had nearly gave Raph and Donnie a heartattack when used he a shortcut to Mikey's living room, but after reassurance that he was a friend, was able to get on good terms with them, Raph texted his siblings still taking a walk in Snowdin to let them know Sans was there and was healing him up, though it took longer than the typical healer magic since he was a little rusty.

"So, you're Mike's family from up Top? Didn't really think of meetin' ya like this, but names Sans, and as you can tell from my BONEified looks, I'm a skeleton" Raph and Donnie stared at him at the pun, Sans shrugged and said "tough crowd, eh? I guess I can see who has the sense of humor in your family." Sans then looked as he noticed Mikey was now at max HP, he lifted his hand away from Mikey's chest as said mutant churned and opened his eye/eyesocket.

"Wowsa, the Hell hit me?" Mikey than noticed Raph and Donnie as he said "oh, hey bro, RAPH. What's good?" Donnie said "uh...we met your friend Sans for starters, what exactly HAPPENED?" Mikey merly shrugged as he replied "meh, just had some trouble with a weed, it's cool, guess meeting over at Grillby's is postponed huh?"

Mikey had went into his kitchen and started to make a plain, pepperoni pizza, via fire magic, Leo,Miwa, and Kiyo had come only a few minutes before he went to cook something, it was actually going pretty well, Miwa and Kiyo found Sans' puns hilarious and they're brothers were getting along swimmingly with the lazy comedian. Mikey was done with the pizza in a timespan of ten minutes, gotta love fire magic.

"How can is it possible for you to make a pizza so FAST?!" Mikey shrugged at Leo's question and replied "eh, pretty easy when you mastered Fire Magic in a year!" Donnie visibly recoiled at the word *magic*, he just can't accept that magic was real, can he?

Miwa then asked "hey Mikey, I've been pretty curious, why have you stayed down here? I mean, if we can fall in, can't we get out?" Sans looked slightly unsettled at the eldest Hamato siblings question before Mikey answered "well, that my sister, is a VERY long story, and I can tell from Donatello's expression that your all probably wondering why the monsters were sealed down here, arn't you?" Donnie looked BEYOND baffled, but Mikey saw that he wasn't dining it either, "heh, alright, since your all here, I'll tell you, the true story of the war between monsters and humans."

"Many millennia ago, humans and monsters lived in tranquility, they lived together as friends, that is until....the humans begun the war, the monsters did not want to FIGHT, yet they had no choice, no humans were killed, only innocent dust was spilt, until, the monsters surrendered and seven humans, the most powerful magicians of the era, sealed the monsters into the mountain, only a strong monster SOUL, and a strong human SOUL, can pass through the Barrier, even then, only one can exit, and temporarily, the king, King Asgore, has a plan to free all of us by collecting seven human SOUL's which will bring down the Barrier, and then, he will destroy humanity, and well....HE'S A FOOL! He claims he wants everyone to have HOPE, that it's only one more SOUL till we have freedom, the humans that those SOUL's belonged to....they were CHILDREN, me and Sans saw each and every one of them, we helped them get to his castle where the Barrier is, but we can not FIGHT Asgore, he is too powerful, Sans has only 1HP, and I, only five, Asgore is a Boss Monster, even with combined efforts, neither of us would be able to beat him, which is as well I suppose. Asgore may be a fool and a little pathetic, but he's a fool with a big heart, I've seen his...more perfirable side, he taught our friend Undyne everything she knows, hell, he's almost like a father to her, he's a real softie, like Pideon Boy here, just without the near always blazing anger streak, now, nice or not, Asgore DOES plan on destroying humanity, honestly, I can't even blame him, there were almost more bad humans than good ones, as for what'll happen if his plan succeeds and we all are free, if a single human harms my new family, well....T H E Y A L L W I L L N E V E R L I V E T O S E E T H E R I S I N G S U N

The hamato's stared wide eyed and even quite abit frightened at the last sentence, the dusty gold reptile esk magic pupil disappeared, turning to darkness, his one remaining eye closing its second lid, making it appear that his pupil and iris was gone.

Only a moment afterwards did Mikey's eye/eyesocket return to normal as he gave Cheshire Cat like smile as if he hadn't threatened all of humanity as he said "well! That was quite the history lesson wasn't it? Now, I'd love to stay and catch up, but I'm gonna need to check on the human, you coming Sa- oh, already asleep? 'Kay, catch ya later!" And just like that, he simply disappeared, none of them knew when or how he left, they simply blinked and Mikey just was GONE!

As Sans continued to dream, an old memory crept into his dreamscape.

(* a small skeleton had layed down on a couch with his Mother as she Spoke "....and then I asked arn't you cold? He said chilled to the bone, and that's how I met your Father...."when he woke up with a large shiver that ran up his spinal cord, he looked up and asked "hey Mom? Can I go watch TV now?" The skeleton woman's eyesockets looked at her son with a soft expression " oh, little Sansy, no, it's nap time" Little five year old Sans gave a slight whine "but moooooommmm! My dreams are....crazy..." The skeleton mother gave a slight chuckle as she said "Sans, sweetie, ALL dreams are crazy, that's what makes it a dream" Sans sat up as he said "but Mom, my dreams are the bad kinda crazy, like, craaaaaaazzzzzyyyy!!!!" To empasize his point, the little skeleton flailed his arms about wildly, his small skull ducking into his blue and black striped sweater. His mother smiled as she cupped a hand to her child's cheekbone and said "honey, dreams arn't scary, sometimes something crazy is just something familiar in a different point of view, and that's not scary, right?" The mother held her little baby bones in an loving embrace which the small monster happily cherished as his mother rocked him slightly, a lullaby was then heard
"Oh,dear little sunshine.

Let your light into my SOUL

Mommy's here to keep you safe and sound,

Just go back to sleep.

We will keep you safe here,

Skeletons with promises are truly profound

I'm here beside you you always.

Sleep and go back to a dream of light
