Description Custom SC2 model of Lieutenant Samir Duran from StarCraft Brood War. His unit model and portrait as well as the color scheme of his terran ghost armor is based on his in-game portrait appearance in StarCraft Remastered. I will make later the infested version and true form version of Duran.

Lore information about Samir Duran (Part 1):

"Samir Duran" is a terran name used over a millennia by a Xel'naga shapshifter devoted to the Fallen Xel'naga, Amon. After the fall of his master, a millenia ago, the Xel'naga shapeshifter took the form of a terran and named himself as Duran in order to prevent other terran individuals from knowing his true identity and true motives. According to some sources, Duran claimed to have served in the Alpha Squadron of the Terran Confederacy before Arcturus Mengsk brought down the Confederacy on Tarsonis during the Great War and he later assumed command of a small commando squad known as the Confederate Resistance Forces, a group of Confederate remnants who went into hiding and dedicated  to in striking down Mengsk and the Terran Dominion.

During the United Earth Directorate's attack against the Dominion on Braxis, Duran monitored the attack before offering his services to UED Vice Admiral Stukov.
Duran provided the UED with a route to the 'back door' of Boralis, aiding the invaders in capturing the planet's capital. The UED gained access to confidential Dominion information from Braxis after capturing the capital city of Boralis. Duran used this information to plan an assassination attempt on Arcturus Mengsk, who was visiting Umoja at the time. The lieutenant however did not take part in the operation there as he was needed to journey to Dylar IV for the UED's attack on the Dominion shipyards. Instead, Captain Angelina Emillian led the assassination mission which ended up in failure.

As special advisor of the UED, during the UED's plan to steal Dominion battlecruisers on the Dylarian shipyards, Duran warned Admiral DuGalle that the Dominion could reinforce its outlying bases within sixteen hours. With the battlecruisers successfully stolen by the UED, the fleet manage to defeat the Dominion reinforcements led by General Edmund Duke.

Later on, the UED fleet travelled to Tarsonis. In the planet's surface, Duran's research team located the psi disrupter, a lost Confederate weapon that is capable of disrupting zerg communication. The lieutenant advised to Admiral DuGalle that it must be destroyed believing that it would jeopardize the UED's plan to enslave the Second Overmind. Such a prudent call from the lieutenant led to Stukov's opinion in using the psi disrupter against the zerg being overruled. After clearing out the presence of zerg broods on Tarsonis during the operation, Duran prepares to set the charges on the psi disrupter but was interrupted and relieved by Stukov's ghost team, who took over the psi disrupter's disassembly. After the psi disrupter was disassembled, Duran participated in planning the UED assault on Korhal, the capital world of the Terran Dominion. He suggested to the UED captain and Admiral DuGalle by destroying a large cluster of missile silos on the outskirts of Augustgrad, the capital city, to disable the defender's core nuclear capabilities. After destroying the nuclear silos, the UED manage to capture Augustgrad but Mengsk escaped captivity with the aid of Raynor's Raiders and a small protoss fleet.

The UED later pursued Mengsk and Raynor to Aiur where the fugitives prepared to escape through the warp gate. After the UED assault on the protoss base guarding the fugitives, Duran's forces were out of position as a large zerg force swept in from the northeast. The lieutenant claimed that he does not detect the enemy force and has communication difficulties which prevented receiving Stukov's frantic warnings. Raynor and Mengsk manage to reach the warp gate via dropship during the ensuing chaos.

After the battle on Aiur, Stukov took an unauthorized leave of absence to Braxis after the operation on Aiur concluded. Duran and DuGalle tracked him there and found the vice-admiral had secretly had the psi disrupter reassembled on Braxis, in contravention of previous orders. Duran convinced DuGalle that Stukov was acting treacherously, and was authorized by the aggrieved admiral to find and execute the vice admiral. Duran confronted and shot Stukov and somewhat disappeared then activated the psi disrupter's self destruct sequence. The dying Stukov revealed to DuGalle that Duran was the real traitor, and possibly infested by the zerg and convinced the Admiral that the psi disrupter was the only key in defeating the zerg.
