Warhammer 40K fanart of a Chaos Space Marine Havoc who was formerly an Iron Warrior who joined the Black Legion and was equipped with a Chaos corrupted Mark II 'Crusade' Pattern power armour and armed with a corrupted heavy bolter.

Description: Oresus Macrou, also known by his epithet as the "Cruel Annihilator", was a Chaos Space Marine Havoc of the Iron Warriors Traitor Legion who later joined the newly formed Black Legion. Although, records of the IVth Legion's deeds and the names of its legionnaires were ultimately lost after the Great Scouring, surviving but fragmented records possibly recovered by members of the Inquisition suggest that Oresus Macrou was formerly an Olympian-born Legionnaire of the 113th Grand Battalion of the IVth Legion and he was also a member of the cunning Iron Havocs of the Iron Warriors Legion.

Following the aftermath of the Horus Heresy, Oresus was among the members of the 113th Grand Battalion assigned to safeguard the Dark Mechanicum forge world of Typhior during the subsequent Legion Wars in the Eye of Terror. While guarding the forge world from any attackers, Oresus and his fellow brothers of the 113th Grand Battalion were attacked by an Emperor's Children warband whose primary goal was to plunder the other traitor legion's own slave stocks for use in their legion's perverse excesses. Despite the 113th Grand Battalion suffering heavy casualties and losing a few slaves that were captured by the Emperor's Children, they manage to drive them off and the forge world's facilities suffered minimal damage.

After a bloody battle against the Emperor's Children raiders, the surviving members of the 113th Grand Battalion were later met by a Black Legion warband led by Iskandar Khayon and Valicar Hyne who sought an audience with the forge world's Magos. Once the negotiations were finished, Oresus and the rest of the 113th Grand Battalion pledged their loyalty to Warmaster Abaddon and joined the Black Legion.

In the following centuries, Oresus would partake 6th, 10th and 13th Black Crusades where he brought ruin and destruction on several worlds and spilled the blood of his foes. Soon afterwards, in the 42nd Millennium, Oresus would join the War of Beasts over Vigilus against the Imperial forces defending the world. His current fate was unknown but he has most likely fled after the forces of Chaos were driven back.

During the Black Crusades up until the War of Beasts, Oresus Macrou still retains his old but now corrupted Mark II 'Crusade' Power Armour while he was in the Iron Warriors Legion. In addition, he carries a corrupted heavy bolter as his weapon to tear down a squad of enemy infantry in range combat.

Notes: The Iron Warriors symbols on Oresus' left pauldron and buckle have shown signs of damage presumably during his fight against the Emperor's Children Warband. Also, the chestplate of his armour incorporates with the Eye of Horus iconography which serves as a sign of Oresus' allegiance to the Black Legion.
