This part matte painting or did you really paint that little castle in the distance? Looks like a photo - so do the mountains in the background with some texture thrown over. Just wondering, if you did, I really don't care at all... just asking.

I had only 3-4 days for this illustration(from sketch to the final) so I had to use some mattepainting technique... mountains in the background are from the photo but changed rather heavily... also I used a reference for the castle but painted it in photoshop ..... all other things( rocks ,characters, road from the castle, town near the castle... etc) are painted entirely in photoshop without references and photos....

that's completely awesome, I was just wondering because photo-light looks particular, and most painters don't paint like it... it's exceptionally hard to reproduce, that's why matte painters like Dusso, etc just use photos and blend them in.
It's an art for sure, I just wanted to see if my "eye" for it was correct!
