Description Just a quick guide to my werewolves for reference in trades, commissions, gift art etc. Here are the basic points:

• They are digitigrade. They can stand on their hind legs but are quite top heavy so find it more comfortable to be on all fours.
• They have opposable thumbs but their hands / front paws are less dexterous than human hands.
• The fur on their forearms is particularly long so they look a little like they’re wearing flared sleeves.
• They can be any height from about the same size as a human to as tall as a house. Werewolves who inherited lycanthropy tend to be bigger than those who were turned.
• They have the same fur colour as wild canines. Their colouring is influenced by their hair colour as a human. If they have dyed hair then just the area they dyed as human will be that colour (As shown by the purple headed wolf above).
• Their eyes glow red and have no visible pupils.
• Their fur is a lot softer and finer than normal wolves.
• Other than size there isn’t much difference in appearance between the genders. Females don’t have breasts. Underlying muscle structure is hidden by the fur.

That’s the basics. They can be quite varied in appearance – I’ve tried to show some of the variation in fur colour, facial structure, tail shape etc. here. Pretty much anything goes.

I’m aware they’re not particularly original in appearance but they make me happy
