Description Here's the latest Tokyo Pig episode on Disney's One Saturday Morning and I had a hard time to get it off the ground!  It was gonna air on November 6 but then I delayed it and then I pushed it back and back and back and now we FINALLY have the newest Tokyo Pig episode in over a month!  This episode has Wigstaff attending a sleepover at Spencer's place.  I took some inspiration from the original Hare Tokidoki Buta episode where Wigstaff was rolling along and I did get some jokes out of it.  What jokes?  You'll have to read to find out!

DISNEY’S TOKYO PIG

“WEEKEND WITH WIGSTAFF”

INT TV STUDIO

THE WEATHER LADIES ARE READY FOR THEIR NEXT REPORT

Weather Lady:  I hope all of you had a Happy Halloween and will hope that November will be good!  Oh wait a minute, Thanksgiving passed and now it’s December!

Shadow Weather Lady:  Especially since we have to take some existing stories and tweak them into new episodes to make sure it stays fresh!

Weather Lady:  Like this episode focuses on some plot points that our American viewers wouldn’t understand, we've taken one element, Wigstaff staying over at Spencer’s house!

INT WEINBERG TAKAHAMA HOUSEHOLD FRIDAY MORNING

SPENCER AND SUNNY BEGIN TO EAT BREAKFAST

Executive Producers JIM JINKINS JAMES L BROOKS and PHIL LORD & CHRIS MILLER

Spencer:  Mmm, I always love toast and cereal!

Una:  What are you going to do today?

Spencer:  Nothing too weird, it’ll be just another ordinary school day.

Produced by RICHARD SAKAI JESS WINFIELD and DAVID CAMPBELL

Una:  Just go ahead and have a good day, Spencer.

SPENCER IS FINISHED WITH HIS BREAKFAST

Spencer:  Okay, I will.

SPENCER LEAVES THE HOUSE AND JUMPS UP

Spencer:  YES!  She’s gonna change!

Sunny:  Oink!

Spencer:  You’re right, we gotta get to school!

TRANSITION TO SPENCER’S HOMEROOM

INT HAYAO MIYAZAKI MIDDLE SCHOOL FRIDAY MORNING

Co-Producers TONY CRAIG & ROBERTS GANNAWAY and BOB SCHOOLEY & MARK McCORKLE

Spencer:  Does anybody here have any idea how to pull the story forward?

Ken:  Well has anybody seen Wigstaff lately?

Spencer:  I don’t know.

A GIANT JACK IN THE BOX SHOWS UP

Written by HARRY SHOEMAKER THOM ENRIQUEZ and JOE AARONS

Spencer:  Well let’s at least pray that it has “Pop Goes the Weasel” on there.

SPENCER TURNS THE CRANK AND THE TRADITIONAL “POP GOES THE WEASEL” SONG PLAYS

SPENCER REACHES THE “POP” PART AND THE JACK ISN’T OUT YET

Spencer:  Something must be wrong.

SUNNY TURNS THE CRANK ONE MORE TIME AND WIGSTAFF POPS UP DRESSED AS ONE OF THE WEASELS FROM ROGER RABBIT WHILE “POP GOES THE WEASEL” BY 3RD BASS PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND

Wigstaff:  Hello Spencer!

Directed by SCHINICH WATANABE
English version directed by ERIC GOLDBERG MIKE GABRIEL and PAUL RUDISH

Spencer:  Wigstaff, could you at least give me something that can at least move the story forward?  Our writers have been working on this for months!

Wigstaff:  Well you have to know which episode this is taking inspiration from!

Spencer:  You mean the 50th episode of the original Japanese series?  This episode is only…  Does anybody know which episode this is numbered?

Weather Lady:  Season 3 episode 4…

Shadow Weather Lady:  No, which episode overall!

Weather Lady:  I think that this is the 43rd episode we’ve done!

Spencer:  Well we need some motivation to keep the story progressing!  What’s the name of this week’s episode again?

Eggman:  I believe it’s called “Weekend with Wigstaff”.

Spencer:  So is it gonna be a Weekend at Bernie’s spoof?  I hope not because carrying Wigstaff’s corpse is gonna be a little dark!

THE WEATHER LADY APPEARS IN FRONT OF A GREEN SCREEN THAT SAYS “TOO DARK OR NOT DARK ENOUGH”

Weather Lady:  Weekend at Bernie’s is a 1989 dark comedy where two guys find that a man named Bernie has passed on and they use his corpse to get out of trouble.

Spencer:  So the only way for the title to make sense is to…

Sunny:  Oink.

Spencer:  Okay, let’s get it over with!  Wigstaff, I was wondering what are you doing for the weekend?

Wigstaff:  Funny you should mention that, my parents are going out for the weekend and I need a place to stay.

Spencer:  Well that’s a little bit ironic seeing how I am gonna hold my first ever sleepover and I was hoping that you would fit right in seeing how my family is crazy.

Wigstaff:  Spencer, I would love that idea!

Spencer:  I think our writers will love it too, it would sure make a better plot than one that just has revolving and rotating and stuff.  Sometimes you don’t really need to follow the original Japanese source material to make a new adaptation.

STILL SHOT OF SPENCER FROM EARLIER IN THE SHOW IS SHOWN WITH NEW DIALOGUE

Spencer:  Those ABC executives at least gave my show one more season so I could at least now get double crossed by Bob Chapek who wanted The Owl House cancelled!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

ACT II

INT SPENCER’S ROOM FRIDAY NIGHT

SPENCER AND SUNNY RE-CREATE THE SCENE FROM RISKY BUSINESS WHERE TOM CRUISE DANCES TO BOB SEGER’S “OLD TIME ROCK AND ROLL”

Spencer/Bob Seger:  Just take those old records off the shelf
I’ll sit and listen to ‘em by myself!
Today’s music ain’t got the same soul
I like that old time rock and roll!

DIZZY LIZZY WALKS AND AND SPENCER NOTICES THAT HE’S IN HIS UNDERWEAR

Spencer:  LIZZY!  Didn’t you learn how to knock?!

Dizzy Lizzy:  There needs to be a better word for “weird”.

Spencer:  There is a better word for “weird” and that is “Wigstaff”.  He’s staying over for the weekend and I hope that…

THE DOORBELL RINGS

SPENCER CHANGES INTO HIS REGULAR CLOTHES

SPENCER HEADS DOWNSTAIRS

Spencer:  Wigstaff, if that’s you I’m…

SPENCER OPENS THE DOOR ONLY TO HAVE MARY APPEAR

Mary:  Spencer, are you ready for our first sleepover?

Spencer:  When did you get invited?

Mary:  I just decided to come.  I also brought over Angus and Eggman.

EGGMAN AND ANGUS SHOW UP TOO

Spencer:  Well Wigstaff was supposed to be here but…

WIGSTAFF SHOWS UP DRESSED UP AS DIVINE

Wigstaff:  Did somebody say my name?

Mary:  Where are his parents?

Spencer:  It all depends.  Who are his folks voiced by?  Well we know Patton Oswalt voices his dad but who voices Wigstaff’s mom?

Wigstaff:  There are so many choices, I’m not going to tell who is voicing my mother!

Spencer:  Well what are we supposed to do?

SUNNY DRAWS SOMETHING IN SPENCER’S DIARY

SPENCER NOTICES IT

Spencer:  Sunny, is that my homework?  I would know because I wrote mom and dad are out for tonight.

Mary:  Wait a minute, what homework did Ms Spelt assign us?

Spencer:  Well it’s about finding our family trees and seeing which ones were involved.

THE DIARY HAS SPENCER’S FAMILY TREE AND THOSE OF EGGMAN, ANGUS, MARY, KEN AND WIGSTAFF AND THE TREES SPRING INTO SPENCER’S ROOM

Spencer:  Wow!  My ancestors were samurais!  So were yours Wigstaff!

A COUPLE OF SAMURAI WARRIORS FIGHT IN SPENCER’S ROOM

Spencer:  This is gonna be a big mess!  Go to a commercial!

STILL SHOT OF SPENCER IN HIS RISKY BUSINESS GEAR FROM EARLIER IN THE EPISODE IS SHOWN WITH NEW DIALOGUE

Spencer:  Somebody better not sue, especially Tom Cruise because we had him on the show back in 2020!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

ACT III

INT SPENCER’S ROOM

SPENCER IS CRAZED AT THE LOADS OF FAMILY HISTORY THAT IS GOING ON

Spencer:  Wait a minute, one of my ancestors attended a bullfight?

Weather Lady:  Well this is one remnant of the original Japanese episode but there’s no mammoth!

Spencer:  And it’s kind of a good thing because Disney’s version of “Flint the Time Detective” doesn’t appear on the One Saturday Morning lineup until Fall 2022!

Wigstaff:  What do we do now?

Spencer:  I don’t know, have a bullfight with a giant mammoth?

SUNNY’S SNOUT GOES ON SPENCER’S HEAD AND A BULLFIGHT ARENA APPEARS WITH SUNNY AS A TOREADOR COMPLETE WITH BIZET’S MUSIC FROM CARMEN PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND

Spencer:  Well if Hey Arnold could use that music, we could do it too!

THE FIGHT GOES ON WITH SUNNY HOLDING A RED CAPE AND THEN THE BULL CHARGES WITH SUNNY HOLDING IT OVER AN ANVIL

THE BULL FALLS DOWN

Spencer:  At least it doesn’t have the Acme logo on it, Warner Bros would get mad.

Angus:  What does this have to do in context?

Spencer:  Do you think this show has context?

Ken:  I think Spencer has a point, it’s kind of like Alice in Wonderland but at least it does have a balance between weirdness and slice of life stories with fourth wall humor, slapstick, pop culture jokes, social satire and a bunch of other comedy to balance to crazy stuff.

DIZZY LIZZY POPS IN AND NOTICES THE BULLFIGHT

Dizzy Lizzy:  SPENCER!  KEEP IT DOWN!  DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?!

Spencer:  It’s only 8:15 PM!

Mary:  Look, we have tried to set this episode up, let’s just end it!

Shadow Weather Lady:  How do we end it?

Spencer:  We could just say that the original story was Wigstaff rolling like a ball like how Sonic does it in his games.

Weather Lady:  Is that how we end it?

Wigstaff:  How about I say this to Spencer.  “I think I would like to come here another day after a crazy night like this!

Spencer:  Now I KNOW that he's weird, he acted like a friend!
