BWAHAHAHAHA! That is all I have to say. Ok, not really... So you know how I journal-ed about needing to increase the amount of Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto fanart? Well here I go...xD This is Akizuki Youjirou (Akizuki is his last name), the main character of this wonderful anime. He is also known as the Eternal Assassin. Why, you ask? Go watch the show!
It is lovely, his eyes glow blue... In keeping with the kabuki play theme this show keeps coming back to, I have a total of 3 (or maybe 4) "acts" planned. :3 In other news, I think I have officially broken through my art-block with this! Yay! It maketh me happy...

This is show is pretty cool, I started it quite late though, since I wanted to finish up Naruto (went through every episode, that toke some time)...the playwright...Sousetsu? yeah..him. Id say hes one of the best characters too, he kind of reminds me of Hijikata in Peacemaker Kurogane

Yeah, I know what you mean. I tried to start fansites or such for a few series or characters...but it either got no members or I didnt keep at it. Ha, but I did manage to start a decent one for Peacemaker Kurogane..its just a matter of making sure I go through with all of it.
If you want to start a basic one though, try the Msn groups, I use them often.. Or, if you want, I can help or something

hehehe, as always, good job! And it's awesome that you're past your artist's block, they are nasty nasty things.
Anyway, I really enjoy the pose and feeling of motion/action in this piece. The only suggestion I would give would be to increase the contrast in the shading, it'd just make it a tad more dramatic/forceful. But yeah, awesome job.

Thanks! Yeah, that was always something my art teacher was harping on "lighten the lights, darken the darks!" ^_^ Doesn't help that its a photo...thanks though! I look forward to getting a scan, and I'll probably fix up the shading first.
