Bright flowers for spring! these are some of my more imaginative flowers-- bright or patterned fabrics done into orchid shapes because a friend of mine likes orchids...and I cannot resist making a variety.

I actually made these a while ago, but I have been behind on cropping/editing photos...nevertheless, you can see another example of upcycled kimono silk. the project continues.

Yeah, I actually really like kimono fabric as bobby-pins. it's useful, too, because the samples don't usually come with a lot of negative space? So there isn't a lot of solid-color to work with, which is kind of necessary if I'm making a bigger piece. well, sometimes it's necessary...though not always. Yeah. It depends.
