You'll improve with practice. Though it also helps to have better artists critic your work, too.

So I'm not that bad in drawing males after all. It's always: "Hmm... your female pictures looks good, but males.... tssk" - this told me some classmates at school when they saw 'The Fringe' picture
You know that's a clear sign - 'do not draw a manga pictures'
