So, we were having a snow storm and I went out to my front street at 2 a.m. to try to get some shots.It was so quiet, and the snow was falling quite hard. I think that I captured the serenity of the night, although it was pretty windy and DAMN cold.
After a little while my auto focus didn't want to work anymore, (it was freezing up) but I did get a few shots that I will post.

I love the tranquility of freshly fallen snow in the middle of the night, but I love it more when I can experience it through your camera lens. It's much warmer for me that way.
This is really beautiful, and I can't help but ask, did you apply a sepia filter to it, or is this the ambient light casts by the street light?

I didn't do anything to change the colour in these. I played with the curves a little bit - but that's it.
There was so much cloud cover and the snow was falling so hard, that the light seemed to bounce off of everything, and it recorded in this nice orange hue.

It turned out very nice, and as I said the best part of it (for me) was that I could enjoy it without being cold.

Being in the city can suck sometimes: I miss the 4 seasons. But I must admit the city's winters are getting to be more like snowy winters .. and I couldn't be happier!!!

I love nightime shots. There's something about city lighting that really gives a sense of something very odd (in this case warmth) when the ground is coated in snow~
