Meant to be just a doodle at first but I kept adding more details : P All I've been doing lately are face shots, I need to practice some full body D:----

even more so on proportion, the ear back there, I'm glad you included it as some people just like covering them up with hair. I think the ear could be made a little larger, given the size of the nose and ears generally around the same size as noses.
all in all i think you've come very strong in facial features studies (given how much detail and care you've put into them) and I say that now body studies are a plus 8D I would just suggest that you look a little more on proportion, the relationships of things to other things, etc. even if every kind of style warps a relationship (as do I) it's always good to know what's actually going on in the body.

Woah thanks for the detailed critique *_* Ahh I should study face structure more and like you said, I can draw them as themselves alright, but I can't seem to place them. As for the mouth though, I tend to make them small because I've got an abnormally small mouth myself, and when I look at proportions... I'll work on that |D;;
I for one, love ears : D Love drawing them and their accessories xD But I didn't know they're the same size as the nose, that'll help : D

(: no problem, I like dishing out long critiques once in a while (if I'm pretty sure the recipient would appreciate them.. xD) and yeah... completely understandable about that though [:
and good for you, most people hate drawing ears that I know of, mostly because it looks pretty complex as a whole but broken down, they're very easy to draw, just like everything else.
And yeah, ears are rooooughly the same size as ears. Most guidelines will say eyebrow to bottom of nose length, which is essentially the same thing.

One question though, how do you know where to place the eyes? I usually draw the shape of the face + ears, and match up the eyes that way but I don't think that works too well.

xD General guidelines for face proportions say that the eyes are the halfway point between the top of the head and the chin. Like here: [link]
