Beautiful. The mood reminds me of the Degas painting of a woman (in silhouette) eating raw horse meat (it was during a food shortage, after all)

Which Degas? Not Roman Beggar Woman? Anyway quite the comparison to a great. Although I do think he makes the grace of the ballerina in those paintings look awkward.

Degas is one of the few impressionists that I respect. I admire his control. Some of the dancers get a bit swishy, but for the most part he has structure, and adheres to it
