XD sure am speechless here lol !

It's quite easy to notice ^_^ I think on DA I never saw as much details on vehicles shown on a scene (especially on that jet in front of the scene, that one sure is detailed !) and this sure is worth pointing in the whole thing !
People just sometimes forget that details are worth adding in a scene, even on other things than just characters.

XD I always try being generous about making comments when I see something I feel like faving/commenting online, I try not being silent and ninja fav something since such a thing makes me think I did some 'incomplete' faving XD

Traditional NEEDS love indeed, that's why I always keep on my side traditional style (aaaaaand also because I think my digital skills never improved, even if I had a whole digital art class some years ago >_> traditional will always be my style), it's much more fun to do and kinda keeps (in my opinion) a more real feel than doodling something on Photoshop and making it full digital XD but that's my opinion for my style, mixing is good too but I somehow can't master it yet

Did you notice that the jet which is taking off the aircraft carrier looks like a slightly modified Macross Valkyrie? XD

And I must agree with you, details are the key for the success for a neat and complete picture, and not only on the character, but in the scenery too, since it plays a really important role in the pic ^^

Me too, I always try to be as generous as I can when I comment, so I understand your point and feeling there

Yep, there are millions of great digital artists, but there are few good traditional artists that mix it with digital effects ^^

And well... I'm just too slow with digital, that's why I don't work much with it, but I'm slowly improving with the digital art, it's just a matter of time

XD well, I'm sure it's cuz of my lack of searching around DA XDDD I'm such a lazy person when it is for such a thing !
XD nice, I'm not that much of a person who knows stuff about jets, cars and all, but what I can say is that it sure was a nice one you did !
yeah XD google checked that thing and compared and I notice it ! sorry for not being that much an expert in that, I guess I should check more and more stuff now D: (except all the SNES games I get for my emulators, I'm spending so much time in gaming these days)

Sure is the key for success indeed, I mean, details usually show improvements in someone's style
If someone can manage to get as much details as possible without making the whole work look confusing, it sure is a good sign about their improvements ^_^

XD aaaaaaaaw that's a nice habit ! Sure thing is that none of us will lose that habit since we both have the same point of view about that ^_^

I sure need to try that someday, when I'll feel less scared of my good old tablet O_O I'm less scared of using it since the time I bought it, but still...digital still isn't a thing I master yet and feel awkward trying to use it.

Well, maybe you are wondering "How do I draw all those vehicles with so many details?!", but well, I have 3 sources of references:
1. Anime
2. Mangas
3. Google is my friend, and just type what you need and pick the most useful pic and copy it's details :3
And also, if I see something is kinda lacking of details cause there is too much blank space, I try my best for filling it XD

Oh, that's another thing, details must be done correctly and in a right mount, or else it will make the picture look confusing for the watcher -w- b

Hehe, whenever I comment on a picture, I try to scan for the possible flaws in it for helping the artist improve (if possible) but I always stand out the positive feedback, the strong points of the picture, my impression and reaction, and how good is it, and if it have some flaw, I try to help him/her how to beat that flaw for his/her next drawing ^^

Don't be scared of trying! Even if you do a simple scribble that means you are improving! You gotta get used to control the computer with the tablet first and then get used to draw. People often says "You gotta get used to the tablet, try replacing your mouse and use your tablet instead" but they forget to say "and after that, try getting used to draw with the tablet", cause getting used to draw is more hard than you can imagine cwc;;;

Anyway, never surrender, dude! That's the key to success in art! >:3

XD almost same refs as me I see ! yet me most of my refs are video game stuff (how obvious coming from someone who spends lots of time finding new games to add to their freakin big gaming list XDDD)
Quite nice to see we almost have same ways of thinking when it's about refs and comments !

Oh yes, I was that way before, making so many details...but ending that drawings were almost understandable by me...and only me...D:
Geez, like I was drawing some awesome looking (for me, the opinion I had that time...) pic of some epic monster and all that, I was like 'Oh cool ! I did well !' and I asked a few DA friends on MSN 'What do you think : D ?' and they were like 'Man...you kinda messed a bit up, you should be careful next time since your shading over it made it look odd'

XD oh god, people like this who make REAL critiques are my faves online ! not the usual 'Cute :3' or 'Wow, this guy looks awesome !' type of comments, but REAL comments !
Whenever I get these, I almost feel like thanking them nonstop and go like 'You made my day !' XD
Seriously, that's people like that who makes improvements possible for people, they need love !

Oh sure is hard to get used to it...I had mine since 4 years and I still manage to make tons of mistakes and rage quit on it and I used it a lot in digital art classes...oh sure did used it a lot but still needs to get used to it
Too bad these Wacom tablets with a screen in it are expensive cuz man, I would have bought one the minute I learned they existed if it wasn't for the big 1000$ and more it costs
