Blue Moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for ...
.... Treacle, Rufus and Gertrude love watching the garden creatures by the light of the moon ....
Pretty splat card made by masking off areas before watercolouring then leaving to dry - and then the linework in brown-black ink is applied
It takes just as long to mask off the white parts as it does to do the linework!

I use liquid watercolours that are in small bottles - almost identical to inks really - and some that are in the small tubes ... I think the brands are (if it helps) doc.martin and windsor & newton.
The paper I use is really card which I tape down with a low tack masking tape so that it dries flat - the smoothness and density of the card makes a world of difference to how the watercolour sits and absorbs. I'll have a look as to what 'gsm' and 'micron' the stuff I use is and explain it in the tutorial that I'll be doing soon!
