I love all of Mr. Kon's work. He was such a brilliant man. I was so upset when he passed away :[ I'm currently trying to collect all his works, and I'm just missing Millennium Actress and Paranoia Agent. That boxset is obscenely priced.
But, anyways, I rather like the rough look of this piece. It gives it more of a deranged sort of feel, which is entirely appropriate.

I tried making all the blending in a vertical motion that is similar to the intense scenes in the anime.

Oooh this is awesome! Yeah Satoshi Kon's work was absolutely incredible, it's so sad he won't be around to continue making more but everything he's done will live on as his legacy. I love the loose lines, it definitely captures the rough-edged and chaotic feel of the series.

I understood it fine when it played on Adult Swim. I wish it was on again, but I'm perfect with the animes they have on now (especially how they picked up Durarara! AS made me so happy XD). Well... Not Kekkashi (Cake Show!). They can take that off.
