I'm cleaning up my hard drive this morning. And I'm appalled at the decline in the number of insect species featured on my macro photos over the last fifteen years or so. The crane flies that used to swarm the garden... almost no more. The dozen or so species of butterfly... now only two or three. The large beetles... gone.Even the crab spiders I hardly see any more.
