The last time she visited Le Louvre, she had two legs. Todays, Miette walks on three paws. She wants to study french paintings of 19th century. Her hands were not wounded in the accident and she coninues to paint, with the help of a high stool.

She has a strange feeling at the entrance: she gets a reduced fare for "disabled". Her friend Claudine has a twisted ankle, but she pays full fare.

To avoid uncontrolled movements of her pant, she bent it in front of her stump and fixed it with a safety pin. The man with orange shirt looks at the amputated leg.
