I dunno about you, but I always sorta thought that, considering Inu-Yasha and Kikyou's relationship before the whole pinning debacle, little Kaede probably adored Inu-Yasha. I mean, you never see the poor kid's family, and I'm sure that after her sister died Kaede was all alone in the world. So here's little Kaede, taking comfort in the only constant left in her life.Related content

Wow...So cute. Actually I've made a fanfiction sorta about this but not exactly. I made one with a different girl named Kaori who was the younger sister of Kaede and Kikyou. It's more of a remake of the whole series going the way I want it to with the leading lady as a girl who had a crush on Inuyasha as a little girl, but knows that she can't betray her older sister even though she's died.
Really like this pic though.

Its really a rather touching scenario when you think about it - Inuyasha was after all going to end up as her brother in law. He really would have been the only "family" she had left in the end.

Love the idea - in fact, I've often thought that perhaps Kaede might have even developed a bit of a crush on the hanyou (like younger sisters often do of their older sister's romantic interests). (I even wrote a short fanfic a while back about this.)
I really love the emotion of this piece. Kaede's pose and expression say a lot.

You know, I've actually read this fic before; was it archived on Hero21? I think that's where I read it. This is actually one of my favorite short stories, but I read it for the first time a long time ago and didn't know who wrote it.

Yep, it's been on Hero21 since I first posted it. With Bachan gone, I'm not sure what's happening with the site, though, and when I tried to access the fanfiction section, I wasn't getting anything. I'm thinking I should post some of the stories there that were only on Hero21 on other sites, too. This one, however, was put up on Fanfiction.net a while back.
