Vic, do you always draw in pencil first, then you ink it on the computer?

I actually draw in pencil, then ink with gel pens.
Then paint it on the computer.
I just can't do the inking right with the tablet I have XD so I only use it for cging.

could a regular ink pen substitue for a gel pen since I lack some at the moment?

Yeah, but you have to be more careful because regular pens tend to cause spots of ink while you use them. I used to use them but my works ended all dirty because of this, so I only use them to engross lines in the final step of my inkings.

Ok, so in my case, I should try to get regular black gel pens, and for pencils, do you use art pencils, or standard writing pencils?

I use mechanical pencils of 0.5mm for sketching and pencil work.

not really, mechanical pencils are relatively cheap. I love them because I can make a lot of drawings with a single one and they can be recharged.

when inking, do you have any advice on what to do if you have a shaky hand and you accidently mess it up?

Shadows are your friends, if you mess up and can't erase the line , add shadow there or make the line more bold so it covers the little mistake XD

well i'm kinda hesitant to get some, since i usually end up accidentally breaking the lead inside, and sometimes can't get any new pieces to slide in even if nothing is clogged.

If this is a quick sketch, I am even more impressed than I am now. Great pic

Looks really good. Personally, I'd rather consider her to be an alien species. She may have a human build, but her tolerance of higher temperatures and the ability to manipulate larger objects should indicate her origin.

Very big wrench. Given the markings on her cheek, I have to ask, is she a cyborg?

I'm still deciding between a cyborg and some kind of alien girl.
