An idea I had since last night what if when Roxas and Sora reunited after Xion's death and Diz forced Sora to sleep in the memory pod to forget his life as Roxas this caused Kingdom Key and Kingdom Key-XIII to fused together to represent Sora's union and being whole again.Even have Sora comment in lore on how his Kingdom Key keyblade looks different than it did last time with Sora wondering if him aging as he slept caused Kingdom Key to age alongside him.
