Yeah since GT happens BEFORE DragonBall Super as it's Goku Jrs story, Super Saiyan 4 will exist and be canon in my verse. I get Toriyama's original intentions making the forms simple and not go too crazy, but they feel too safe and lazy in a design stand point.

You actually feel the evolution progressions of Saiyans from Great Ape ->Super Saiyan 1 -> 2 ->3 ->4 hell 4 is pinnacle of Saiyan evolution given what it represents the power of the Great Ape + Super Saiyan in a smaller form. Plus the design as a whole feels Godly in of itself.

So when Baby and Zamasu steal Goku and Vegeta's bodies messing with the GT timeline and that arc is over and I decide to visit it, Super Saiyan 4 in that divurged Timeline is the result of Full Power Super Saiyan 3 (Think of Super Saiyan Rosé Full Power without God Ki) being compressed into a smaller form through mastery over God Ki, since I can SSJ3 FP being Golden Great Ape level without transforming into the ape hell it looks like a bridge to SSJ4 and with good ki control through God ki it can be compressed in a smaller form thus a God Ki powered Super Saiyan 4 in that alternate timeline made from Goku Black and Baby Vegeta.
