Description FINALLY
We're halfway done kids. :'D
I'm so happy I'm so anxious to finally be able to say yeah I finished a decent comic.

I listened to the Zeus: Master of Olympus soundtrack while I drew. It's very relaxing. =w= Mostly.

I've read versions where the Athenians get really fed up with Aegeus. Aside from this random illegitimate offspring that pops up out of nowhere, some people blame him for Androgeus' death. Most people blame him for agreeing to the tribute terms, and a lot of people are pissed that he kept his own family out of the list of names picked at random to be sent to Crete to be fed to the minotaur.

Theseus and the Minotaur
Since this is from Athens' point of view we don't get to see Theseus' epic adventures fighting the minotaur. I know, you're so disappointed. D:
Let me summarize.
Theseus gets to Crete, saves one of the Athenian girls from attempted sexual harassment by Minos (The Athenians portray him as mean and nasty remember), eats some food, falls in love, gets a ball of yarn, goes into the labyrinth with the other thirteen Athenians- supposedly he's been stripped of weapons but he's often depicted wielding a club to liken him to Heracles. How he snuck it in I have no idea- kills the minotaur, escapes, destroys a giant robot, sets fire to Minos' fleet, and forgets his new girlfriend on an island where she gets married to the god of drunken parties.
Not making this up. Not even the part with the giant robot.
They did have giant robots in ancient Greece. Look it up .

But yeah, old news. -yawn-

HISTORICAL FUN FACTS

Historians believe that the 'labyrinth' was actually the Athenian impression of the palace at Knossos, look at the floor plan! [link]
Actually, the word 'labyrinth' refers to the double headed axe often used as a decorative motif in Minoan art (bulls and sea creatures were other popular motifs)

CLASSICS IS FUN. :'D

Yeah, in some versions of the story Dionysus appears to Theseus and is like "Dude lay off I'm in love with/was promised/previously engaged to Ariadne, just leave her on the island and I won't totally smite you and stuff."
Some historians believe Ariadne was originally considered a deity rather than a mortal, too. XD
