Description Oh look, it's another Japanese Sonic fan character ouo;; I was strongly inspired and mesmerised by the Japanese culture, so it's only natural that I too create another precious baby of mine to be Japanese >v> ♥ To be honest tho, I did the sketch one and a bit years ago and left her until now when I'm in a sudden art mood recently aksdjskdjd :V I also got a simplified version of this with colour reference if anyone needed it eue
I want to steal her outfit now :'I

========================
.: PERSONALITY AND INTERESTS :.
========================

Qualities: Ayaka is someone who hardly forgets her manners. She is polite to people that she comes in conversation with, usually greeting them with the traditional Japanese ‘hello’ in a soft voice. She is very assertive with her surroundings, mindful of what is happening around her and being adaptive thus. For a young woman, she is mature for her age. She deeply cares for her friends, as she is more than willing to listen to them and give advice, and supports them no matter what. Time does not bother her as she is patient.

Flaws: Because of her ink manipulation, Ayaka doesn’t have a lot of self-confidence in herself to be able to stabilise them, often doubting herself. In addition, she doesn’t tell anyone completely about her past nor doesn’t want anyone to know her powers, for she fears that they will see her differently. This makes her envious of those who can control their abilities freely and with no worries at all. She aims to be a perfectionist, which intensifies her fear of her powers going wrong. For a well-mannered character, Ayaka can sometimes be rather blunt with her opinions.

Quirks: Usually in the afternoon, no matter where she is, Ayaka would have a packet of pocky with her. However, from that packet she would only take out just one pocky and takes an hour or so to eat just the one. Ayaka is also fussy with Japanese kimonos, often criticising the fabric and build of the cheaper kimonos and yukatas.

Likes: Pocky, calligraphy, not having to use her powers, lakes and peaceful forests, the sakura trees in the spring with blossoming flowers, seeing and feeling happiness from other people, meditation

Dislikes: Her powers being out of control, people being suspicious or suspecting her powers, when her wings drip with ink (thus making it necessary to unleash her powers in a quiet space), situations not going the way she expects them to be, cheap kimonos and yukatas, apples and bananas

Fears/phobias: Losing control to the inherited ink, causing harm to anyone, losing her friends and family, being seen as an uncontrollable being

Favourite foods: Pocky, onigiri, red bean mochi, bento meals

===================
.: ABILITIES AND SKILLS :.
===================

Talent(s): Inherited ink/sumi manipulation which is mixed into her own blood, calligraphy

Skills: Flight, accuracy, swiftness, deep thinking

Combat: Ranged combat, grace

Weapon(s): She is able to draw ink from her body by pricking her finger, a fudepen used to bring drawings to life

Weakness(es): Physically can’t attack using her own body, fragile, energy drainage from using her powers, losing control of the ink, attacks that are initiated behind her

Ooooooh, I don't think I've come across a character who uses their own blood for ink manipulation purposes~
You really have a thing for painting-based powers, don't you? XD Nothing wrong with that, considering how you were able to create different variations of the same power, which is excellent!

And to think that she'd be more fussy with the design of the kimono/yukuta and the way that an individual has put it on. XD

I find it to be a fascinating yet creepy way to use one's powers, so why not right? ouo Like to me if ink manipulation is mixed into her own blood, she would (and physically couldn't) shoot out blobs of ink, because she would shooting out her blood as well. Pricking her finger creates a whip of ink which she can control, if that makes sense cx
Well out of all my characters these two are the only ones that manipulate art mediums in some form I think eve;; xD Hehehe I don't like all my characters to have the same power = v = Variation is something that I love

Hahahaha quirks are just something that I like making up, it's just a side thing really >v> I think for her since she did grow up around the Japanese traditions and wore the kimonos and yukatas that she would immediately know just from the fabric and layout alone that it's cheap :'I

It's actually pretty hard to find characters who would use their own blood for powers such as this, let alone being an ink-based power! XD I can think of several ways that Ayaka here can use her power, no thanks to the amount of time I'd spent working on blood manipulation powers for one of my characters. >.> What I'm actually concerned of is how often she does this, considering how losing too much blood is an issue for her. :'D
Heh, understandable. XD I try to do that for my characters who share the same form of elemental magic, often having their powers reflect their approach to situations as well as their talents. :'D

Quirk or not, it adds a lot to her character and backstory, showing how much she cares for her culture. c: To be honest with you, I hadn't gotten a proper read-through of the information that you've written yet. ;D

HappiChi In reply to Axe-Cell [2017-01-07 11:14:16 +0000 UTC]

Now that you mentioned it, it does seem true that powers seem to come from nowhere-ish o.o Ink and blood, it's just a nice combo to me = v = (and she'll bleed black not red eve xDD)
Oh really? I only thought of her using the whip made from her own ink and blood, but do tell me what other things you can imagine her do ouo Huuuuh that character of your with blood manipulation sounds like a pretty interesting one to me c: Well there is a small thing in the info that states when she has to use her powers >v>;;; But basically whenever her wings drip with ink (not blood), she has to release some of that ink buildup by unleashing her powers in a, preferably, quiet area. It's only because that she's not stable with her power yet :'D Imsuchanevilpersonmuahaha Yeah losing too much would obviously be an issue, which is why her energy drains if using her powers for too long :')
Oooh I love it when characters have powers that reflect them as a whole ;;u;; Too often I see people choose a type of power because it's cool or make their character more badass. I mean there's nothing wrong with that at all, it's just for me I prefer their power to meaningfully link to the character in someway = v =

Naww I'm actually glad that you got that from her ;u; Nah that's okay, I honestly don't expect many to read through the entirety of the profile xD;;;

Axe-Cell In reply to HappiChi [2017-01-07 11:40:07 +0000 UTC]

Shshshshshhhhhhh it doesn't really matter where the power comes from, really. XD At least it's not like Ayaka here is going to take over the world with it. :"D
Let me see... aside from turning her blood/ink into other kind of weapons, she could solidify a few and throw them like small daggers. :"D Or cause an infection to occur, due to the mixing of blood (this is related to blood types). Or manipulate the blood that has been shed by anyone else for her own powers. And this is all I can think of on the spot orz
Shshshshshhhhhhhhhh he's just an old guy with a family and a castle to look after, is all. :V
Ahhhhhh, I see I see. o .o My apologies that I did not read that. That's a pretty brilliant way to explain why Ayaka has to use her powers. :'D Quite unique too, considering the explanation you have for her need to release her ink-blood every now and then.
I personally don't like the idea of "you control fire, so therefore you can do anything that involves fire". >.> It feels so limited for these guys, who have a life of their own and such. One example I can give are my characters Cassandra and Charles. Both of them manipulate shadows and dark energies. Cassandra is more of a bookworm, while Charles is more of a suave dude who likes to flirt. As a result, Cassandra has magical applications for her power, while Charles has a flashy and physical approach for his power. :"D

Because now that you mentioned about the reason why she has to release her blood-ink, I shall read into it, and you can't stop me. >:V

That is true eve She wouldn't do such a thing Maybe in an alternate world she would :V
asdfghjkl those abilities sound so creepy yet so cool at the same time :'D
Hmmmmmm e.e still sounds pretty awesome to me bro :V Tell me moar :U
No no it's okay, I don't expect you to read the info ;u;'' Yeah since she can't stabilise her powers, it's like a 'leakage' ouo; Hnnng I have her backstory all in my head, I just need to type it up //lazy
Eeeuurgh I've seen that idea so many times ;______; There has to be a limit, otherwise the character is too powerful D: Those characters of yours sound really interesting, and I love that the way they manage their powers are so different ;u; It really sets them apart and explain themselves.

alkjsdaskjdskl nuuuu it's just a generic profile :V

Hahaha, figures XD Oh goodness me what have I done?? XD
But but but those are the "tamer" ways of using blood/ink manipulation. :c
I can't :V He's just the father of Charles
Hahaha, it's okay, it's okay XD You can always slowly reveal it if laziness proves too strong to overcome. :V
Urgh, I know right? D; The big problem is that we don't actually have a set standard for what makes a character overpowered and what doesn't. ;; n;; It doesn't help that there's some who just wants to win at everything. orz
To be honest, I hadn't worked on those two for so long, so I thought I'd work on them as I use them as an example of "characters with same elements doesn't always have the same moves". X'D

Noh :V You can't stop me!
