When I first played pokemon, I thought this pokemon was a mushroom with eyes and claws, and big scary legs. I'd never really payed much attention to its design until today.Related content

Parasect is quite interesting! I think its sprite in R/B looks a bit menacing, though - I remember being a bit frightened of it when I was younger.

I grew up with LG and Emerald, so I never really got to see any of the scary sprites of the originals (when I looked some up I think I fainted or something lol) but I have rather fond memories of the Paras line. I caught a Paras and named her Mushy (original huh) when I was little and ever since I have made it my priority to capture a Paras every time I play LG.

Evolving a Paras into a Parasect is mildly disturbing once you know what the idea behind them is (Paras has parasitic mushrooms on its back and when it evolves they grow into 1 big one I guess and take over the newly Parasects mind, making it into a zombie bent to the mushroom's will-explains itβs pale iris-free eyeballs)
But yeah Parasect is a real classic Poke :v

Geez D : I'd never thought of it that way. I think paras was a pokemon I never really thought much about because I hated levelling them up back in R/B. But yes...that stone cold glare of Parasect...now I know where it comes from. Although, a zombie mushroom crab sounds kind of adorable.
