I believe that the face is the key part when you draw a pin-up.
Also the facial expression plays an important role in the observer.

before I make a sketch on paper, after reporting on the pc, cleanse it from every imperfection and Ink by manga studio, or by sketchbook pro 6.
The coloring is done with photoshop cs6.
It often happens that the inking process of the figure is made directly on paper with a soft pencil or by special pens
