my first tattoo i got in August 07 of the dragonfly Retsis (a good luck a friendship symbol for me and my close mates), on my left hand index finger. i absolutely love him!!Related content

the middle of it faded slightly, will get it touched up when i have the next tatt. Finger tattoos are notoriously difficult and some studios won't even do them

i have a very clever piercist! it was a bit fiddly and it wasn't quick so it hurt more than an ear piercing because they can go right through! i wish i could have it back again, i've had it done twice, i like to be different

i caught on a few things and i had it done near winter so as soon as i started shoving my hands intto pockets and gloves it decided it didn't like me or the weather and turned blue outside

a surface bar, it's a staple shape. i had to take it out thought as it was growing out, but will be getting it re-done soon

ah, cool. yeah i thought it mightve been dermal anchors because i have a surface bar on my wrist and the studs arent that close together. it must be a smaller size for smaller areas. thats pretty cool though, i was thinking about getting that same thing done but going horizontally across my finger instead. does it get in the way/infected a lot because of where it is?

it can do, i had a keloid problem with mine, as i have with a fair few of my piercings, but i keep them all as clean as possible
i used to catch it a fair few times too which was painful lol
my mate had her hand web done and it had to come out after about 2 weeks cos tht was majorly infected. it jus depends on the person, how their body will react , how much skin there is and how much its looked after

yeah around the studs on my surface bar i get a lot of skin that clumps up on there and i usually have to pick it off with tweezers or something because it clogs the holes and then the discharge cant come out. does this happen to your surface piercings too? or do u just soak it everyday in that salt water im supposed to be soaking it in haha

i get a little bit of build up, ive only got 2 surface piercings left. my neck is terrible for disharge goin hard around the holes and the bar still cos its always been layed on, my sternum i have no trouble with.
i dont soak them cos ive had them for quite a while, i jus always put the solution on i was given in the mornin and evening, and every now n then if the piercing was painful

is there any chance you could send my the template you used for this as i wnt to design my own tattoo using it, i will give you credit etc. and it wont look like yours when its finished/ or be in the same place. i am just finding it extremely hard to find a design i love.

i didn't actually draw it myself, my tattooist looked one up to find what i wanted on the internet, and traced it, changing the tail to be curved as i wanted. but i think you could just trace around the outline of the photo? would work i should say. if not i'll draw it and send, let me know how it goes

depends what ur pain threshold is like, everyone is different, didn't hurt me, i hardly felt it
finger tatts are actually quite hard to do though, my tattooist said they always need touching up, mine needs it badly, but it didnt help i picked it because i couldn't resist and it was my first

Do you mind if I ask a few questions about your piercing? 'Cause it looks really good, and I'm considering getting a similar piercing.
But doesn't the barbell ever snag on stuff during the day? I would probably be soooo worried about getting it caught on something stupid like my shirt and getting it ripped out.
And what about wearing winter gloves? I live in New England, so if I couldn't wear gloves with it, it wouldn't be worth it.

i got it caught a fair few times and it hurt and pussed nicely if im truthful!! and it sticks up cos theres a lack of skin there. i just tried to look after it as much as possible, and was incredibly careful with gloves....altho it did snag several times
s'up to you if u chose a similar one, its fun, but has its downfalls obviously!! but me being me didnt give a hoot and continued my random crazy streak and got it done anyway

That looks so cool! I'd be too afraid to get a tattoo on my fingers--I wash my hands sooo much, it would probably fade in like a month!
