Description
I remember that time when we went on a bike ride and we decided to swim in the river, even though the leaves were red and falling and people walked by with toques on their heads.
We sat in the cold water, and made up stories to amuse ourselves, we walked around, finding clay patches to squish with our toes, and crying in pain when we stepped on a sharp rock instead.
When we knew it was time to go, we huddled in the water, not wanting to get out, because the wind was harsh and it cut like a knife against our skin.

I remember that time.......

I am laughing as you give me a gentle push, and am falling over because it turned out not to be so gentle, I am jumping around and I am grinning like crazy, because you make me happy.
We stay up all night and play pretend games, like we did when we were little, because we want to relive all of those days, and lose ourselves in them, and try and get back some of the innocence that we lost.
We draw on each others faces, and even when we settle down we are still wide awake, giggling at every little thing, and telling our secrets to each other,
because trust is what we needed, and trust was what we had.

I am hoping that we had it......

I know that something will happen, and I know that we can't live in the past forever, but I wish it was that way, I know that we will go to the play ground one day, and we won't find it fun.
We will ignore that we are moving on, and we will try to ignore that we are straying from a gleaming path, that we are stuck on opposite sides of a cliff, and the bridge will be broken down.
We will grow and we will change, and we will be to scared to admit it, and one day, I know that even though we have both changed, we are still the same, and that means that you might give up on me.
