where do they live? i'll visit them.
the weirdest thing i've seen involving chicken was from my grandma's window. she owns a little village store up some stairs, and as she was making conversation with two old drunk people wanting to buy a glass of vodka on credit, i looked outside and there was a pig eating a hen's body, and the hen was making a very weird sound, and a chicken was flying around the pig, poking it in the head.

where are you from? (i would speak romanian with you but it's equivalent to that of a 5 year old speaking. however, i can understand it quite well.)
as for the chicken story, i used to hear stories like that from my mom all the time haha.

i'm from alba iulia, which is pretty much in the center. haha, 5 year olds are the best. i don't know what to tell you in romanian, but i bet from all the bloody stories, this really does look like a vampire country.

i've only been to romania twice. all i can really get from it is what my parents tell me, what their friends tell me, and what i see in romanian movies.
i hope to make a film there one day.

what romanian movies did you see?
i'm at film school here (well, sort of) and we tend to make movies that have nothing to do with our country and look more like the american movies we like i guess. i don't think it's crossed my mind to do a movie about something typically ours. but it doesn't sound bad, now that i think about it.

i've only really seen recent ones--4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days, California Dreamin', Moartea domnului Lazarescu, and Hooked.
i liked all of them. i like the humor--it's in your face and not subtle like they try and do in north american films to be politically correct.
