that's right...more Dalmatians

For the past couple months I have been watching episodes from the new Disney series 101 Dalmatian street. It doesn't air in the U.S. but a fan of the show uploaded a Dropbox link were you can watch them online It's one of only two cartoons in the past 5 years that I've enjoyed and so much to the point when I'm watching scenes from the show everyday. I love how there are so many unique characters with their own personalities. I only wish they would expand on more of the other 80 sum pups and if episodes were 1 20+ min segment instead of two 10 minute ones per episode, I feel it would benefit the plot of the episode, it's writing and it's characters for reasons I won't go into right now (I'm saving that for an episode of Just Fur Fun )

Out of the entire show Deepak is my personal favorite, being a spiritualist myself I can relate to his love of meditation and enlightenment.

Backstory of this piece

Dylan and Dolly, the oldest of the pups and the ones who are the responsible ones while their parents are away at work, are the reasons for why all the other pups tend to get into some pretty crazy situations. One of the pups who tend to fall on the short end of these misadventures is Deepak. He just wants to find inner-peace and living in the craziness of the house makes it hard for him to do so. Feeling bad about all the stress they put their little brother through, Dolly and Dylan decided to do something nice and build for Deepak, a little spot in the backyard right under Dylan's treehouse that Deepak can call his own to meditate and find a scene of calm that he desperately searches for on a daily bases. Complete with a meditation pond, a sand garden and they even had their younger sister Da vinci. paint a ying-yang symbol on the wall. Just to make it has fitting as can be.

When they surprised Deepak with it, a big smile came across the young pups face and he jumped up and gave them each a big hug. I love it! he exclaimed, and the two older pups smiled, knowing they did a good thing

It's that special moment that I capture here in this piece. I hope you like it!

Also bonus fact: This Fall when Disney launches their new Streaming services, They will be putting 101 Dalmatian Street on it has it's very first original program. Making it available to U.S. audiences for the first time!
