Well, his looks seem a little more pleasant here. He's smiling, even being just a smirk.

Darn you Dumbledore and your willingness to die for a greater cause and letting Snape go with you! (Cries great tears of sorrow) The most terrible part is that you know that JK had to kill them for the story to be great. Oh J.K. how you torture me so.
(Goes and reads all the previous Harry Potter books)

thank you very for that comment. I'm tired of all these "Snape was only DD's pawn"-comments. In my opinion their relationship was mutual and deep - not easy and peaceful at all - a difficult relationship full of misunderstanding, quarrel, psychological projection and love-hate - but with a deep !mutual! bond, trustful in core. (Still I believe Elderwand was the tragedy and chain reaction of a failing plan, but don't want to explain that here, it would took at least three microsoft word sites) They were brothers in destiny, feeling a lifelong remorse for the deaths of a human they loved. And there are - as I remember - only two people in canon DD has tears in the eyes for - Harry.... and Snape.
I love you painting! DDs glowing, infecting Joy of life. And Snape's expression - his half being irritated about the strange whims of the old man, half tempted to join in. I think that's really their relationship before the hard times (Voldy's plan to kill DD, the Gaunt ring) started. In my opinion DD was really the only human being who could provoke Snape smiling. And that's one of the reasons why I think Snape needed DD - he was manipulative, yes, but I think he brought also some balance in Snape's unbalanced psychological nature. Your picture remind me of chrismas at PoA

What I've forgotten to say: Just thank you for that great work! It's nice to know that there are still people out there who do !positive! DD/Snape-Fanart after DH. I'm also sad about the lack of fics and paintings about them (beside of the Snape was only a pawn theory). Their relationship is so many-faceted, I could discuss it for months. (Writing a DD/Snape-Fanfiction I've reached page 51 and still there are so many things to tell.) btw: Sorry for my English, I'm from Germany and not very well at other languages than German.

Just wonderful! A perfectly drawn Snape in a perfectly done Hogwarts landscape. Dumbledore reminds me a little of Ed Wynn here, which could be considered appropriate, too, depending on how one views Albus. (Ed Wynn was a very old vaudeville comic who played a perennial fool, in a classic comic sense. I'm sure you can find something on YouTube, to see him in action.) Dumbledore as Ed Wynn--I'd never have thought of it before, but you may have captured something without even realizing it. Nor had I thought of Snape as "eye candy"--but age/youth being relative here--you did a great job!
