ANYBODY who's anybody knows this women of evil and darkness,,,,BUT if you really pay attention to the original H.C version..she isn't so EVIL as you may think. She just simply gives the little mermaid what she wants..human legs,, its not like she FORCED her to,,she even suggest to just find a nice merman,,,jus think about it.........Related content

At least someone understands this fact that she wasnt really evil. I think Disney and most Little Mermaid adaptations exaggerate her to be evil. The book does mention though that she was quite ugly.

yea ive seen how ugly she's been in different books. But yea i hate that's shes made out as this evil bitch when she was just simply some1 who helps the lil mermaid.

Also, her role isn't really as big as people think it to be. She's just someone who gives people a chance at something they want. (eg. the mermaid's humanity for her voice, the mermaid sister's for the dagger to kill the prince.)
