How do you work. do you sketch it in in light pencil first or go straight for the color.

i lightly mark where the light is in coloered pencil, then just go from there

but this one just really spoke to me I love it the color or absents there of is just stunning your use of the negative space technique is masterful .the eyes are so realistic

I used black paper, not sure what brand tho, try Canson.

The only thing that bothers my eye here is that the flowers are so bright, but her face is sort of lost to the background. maybe if her eyes were intense like her earings, that would help bring her to the same presence as the flowers. As usual though, your technique is nigh impecable. I want your hands on my wrists right now.

I love you technique! It makes the drawing look very effectful. She reminds me of Kristin Kreuk who plays Lana on "Smallville".
