Description
I teeter on the edge, one foot dangling over, the other not far behind,

If I fall I head into the darkness, the unknown, with everything crashing down behind me.

The cloud of ruin begins to dust my back, fill my nostrils with the stench of the mess I have made as it dawns upon me.

I am now the enemy with nothing left to lose.

My other foot leaves the edge; weightlessness begins to overtake me as I fall, slowly at first then gradually accelerating.

When suddenly, I feel grounded again,

A hand has reached out to save me,

my feet grip the earth once more.

You came to my side when everyone else turned their backs.

You pulled me up from the darkness that threatened to pull me down,

You swept the dust of ruin under the rug and cleaned up the mess I made,

You guided me back to the place when we first met and told me you still care, that you always will,

You know deep down I am still the only man you trust.

For you I am grateful, blessed to have you in my life,

And I know it was destined for our paths to intersect then join as one,

First in friendship, and soon I hope as more,

For these feelings I now feel are on a higher plane,

One that only true loves and soul mates share.
