Description
Belladonna (beautiful lady, in Italian), also known as deadly nightshade, is a plant whose fruit I would strongly advise you not to eat: like the name says, it's deadly. Back during the Renaissance, it was used by elegant ladies in the form of eye drops, which made their pupils larger. Larger pupils were (and still are) considered sexually attractive, so belladonna made these women more beautiful... but also unable to go outside during sunny days. It also made their eyes cross, made it harder to accomodate (kind of like presbyopia), and prolonged use could result in severe visual impairment. But hey, at least they were pretty!

So, anyone complaining about today's fashion being stupid can reassure themselves: fashion has always been stupid, belladonna is merely one among hundreds of similar examples

Pick the word first, then decide what you could create to turn that word into an entire piece of art.

Important Guidelines:
We will absolutely favor those who choose descriptive or symbolic words (i.e: nefarious, serendipity, ethereal, iridescent, epiphany, etc) and create a whole piece around that word rather than more literal cases like painting a dog and using the word "dog" or writing a poem about loss and using the word "loss".
