Description I promised myself I would paint more landscapes this year... And I have no idea how the initial idea I had turned into this surreal landscape, but I like it, and I hope you'll enjoy it too!

This painting was inspired by Pink Floyd's High Hopes... No green grass here, nor memories of my childhood on an alien planet, but it was the inspiration nontheless

_______________________
EDIT, december 2018: the lack of perspective of the rectangular objects was starting to bother me a lot, so I fixed it...

Beautiful! It's serene, in an oddly alien way ^_^

Thank you! To be honest, I wasn't trying to paint something ominous at all, but it's always very interesting to learn what other people see in my work... especially in this kind of half-abstract scenes

I absolutely love this one you definitely should paint more landscapes!
I love the colours and the gentle curves, they give the feeling of free, calm "flow" of nature... while the rectangular sc-fi "things", looking high-tech and human-crafted, they give a feeling that this "flow" isn't chaotic and random, this flow has it's order and harmony and it was meant to be that way... ahhh! I love it.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoy it! And your interpretation is very close to the (rather vague ^^) ideas I had in mind when painting it... I wanted to paint something harmonious, with no obvious demarcation between natural and architectural objects... It was supposed to have a "musical" feeling to it, too, but that part was harder to render

Thanks! And, yes, it's a beautiful song, very inspiring... As a general rule, I tend to find all of Pink Floyd's song inspiring

Interesting surrealistic work, its like some magic artifacts that resist gravity, and this antigrav has even effects on the ground

Thank you very much! Though to be honest, I feel I'm far from being as comfortable with landscapes as I am with portraits

...and Pink Floyd is an amazing band \o/

Im no expert (im only 23, and my art ... let's say, needs a lot of improvement) but you feel far from being comfortable with landscapes only because you not draw it really often. But i I assure you, that you great at it.

P.S   Try words! Amazing band \o/  Still sounds new and fresh!

Yes, you are right, practice is the key For any form of art... for anything, really!

And unfortunately, I didn't find any band named Words on YouTube... There's one called "The Words", though, and "The Word"...?

Sorry for misunderstanding (english is not my native language) i just meat  that what your remark about Pink Floyd is try. I see you like Gojira and Two Steps from Hell i never heard of others in your profile.

But i feel we are out of track of this conversion. If you interested, send me a note. Been a pleasure talking to you

Ooooh, I finally figured out the reason for my misunderstanding: when you wrote "try", you meant "true" ^^
