What'cha gonna dooo? What'cha gonna do when they come for YOU???I finally found a copy of "Drabant" illustrated by Mikael Noguchi in the library, and READ it!(it's a comic)(sorry, it's only in Norwegian...) And the drawing style was... SO AWESOME!!! Uuuugh it killed me... So I got really inspired to draw something, and did this. He works digitally, which also inspired me to try fight my fear of photoshop, haha! I haven't done anything like this in ages digitally x_x
I'm quite satisfied with the result. Love that guy's cat-hat. Ssso badass..

Would it be totally wrong to say that the dude on the right made me think of TankGirls and Boogas kid? But older?

Haha, do they get a kid? I haven't read Tankgirl(I have the first volume but I never finished it x_x) And well, I've heard before that my style is a bit similar to Jaime Hewlett's, so I'm not that surprised it if reminds you of his work!

Yeah but it kinda dropped off after that. She was pregnant and I don't recall if we even get to see the infant.
I know sometimes artists hate when their style is compared to others so I apologize if I offended you :0 IMO it's not bad, he's got a really great thing going on.

Haha, no worries! I know some get offended by it, but I don't mind. That's just how it is, at some point you would be compared with someone I guess? And it's impossible to have a style that's not like ANY other style!
And yeah I know, I love his style! It feels like it's just the recent months some people have pointed out that I remind them of Gorillaz... or they say "Do you like Gorillaz?" Hah, it's so weird because I haven't really looked at his art in ages, but it probably happens unconsciously xD

Really? Odd, I know he's been around for a while, even his Gorillaz related work. Yeah, even with something we have developed for a long while, there seems to be an underlying and unconscious assimilation of style from somebody who inspires us.

Yeah, I know! It might just be that people don't see the similarity until now.. or that I've been extra into that side of my style, I dunno xD And yeah, it is interesting how our unconscious mind works when it comes to creativities and ideas!
