First I thought using the main characters, then i discovered that, in the fandom, octavia was commonly characterizing ezio, i think it fits perfectly (as ezio being a classical character, also octavia, it kind of fits their personalities).

In Assassin's creed brotherhood, Rodrigo (celestia) attempted murder against cesar (luna), then cesar kills rodrigo, being from the same family and having internal conflicts for power remind me of luna and celestia, that's what inspired me in first place to make the animation.

Lyra is a guard because of the "human-obsessed" personality that the fandom gives her, standing on two legs and holding a rifle is more a human activity than a pony one.

As for the background assassins, they are just background ponies, popular ones except for lightning bolt, I was trying to promote a less known character.

Yep, well, twenty two of the most common background ponies, twenty one if you count Derpy as a supporting character (I count Derpy as one at times)

Earth Ponies: Berry Punch, Golden Harvet/Carrot Top, Sweetie Drops/Bon Bon, Daisy, Cherry Berry and Shoeshine

Unicorns: Minuette/Colgate, Amethyst Star/Sparkler, Lyra Heartstrings, Lemon Hearts, Twinkleshine, Dolphin Dreams

Pegasi: Lighting Bolt, Raindrops, Merry May, Sprinkle Medley, Sassaflash/Wind Whistler, Rainbowshine, Dizzy Twister, Lavender Skies, Cloud Kicker and the loveable mare we all know and love, Derpy!!!

I also count these ponies: Octavia Melody/Octavia, Vinyl Scratch/DJ Pon 3, Flitter, Cloudchaser, Lily Valley and Roseluck/Rose, making it 27/28 common background ponies
